Unfortunately was quite put off by the attitude of the staff member when I went. Though it was around 3 (closed at 4), there wasn't any food left so I asked about the coffee. I asked about the roast and if they had drip. To which he replied (With said snobby attitude- we're not that kind of coffee shop). Ah ok- so in Berlin- one of the best coffee towns in Europe, you're not the kind of cafe that pays attention to the roast of the coffee or where the beans are from?
He also tried to lecture me on when the food is served, to make a reservation on weekend because it's so popular...
His attitude and lack of any food (or apparently drip or filter coffee), made me walk back out the door. The prices are definitely up there as many reviewers have mentioned.
Recommend any number of other brunch spots and "that kind of coffee shop" in the neighborhood over this spot (Dots and Roamers come to mind which have great brunch and great coffee; Barn, 5 Elephants, Companion for coffee). The problem with this kind of attitude from staff when there's a plethora of brunch and coffee options- people will just...
Read moreI don't give perfect scores often, but this friendly breakfast and lunch cafe undeniably deserves it. We found this hot spot via google and decided to check it out based on the reviews - as soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome as a queue was forming at the entrance on a Tuesday, a clear sign of its popularity.
We had a table within 20minutes and the friendly vibes extended to the inside; a buzzing open kitchen which seemed to be family run, and a waitress who smilingly handed us the tasty looking menu consisting of classic brunch dishes with a Turkish twist. Our order arrived quickly despite the busyness and the plating looked great, and tasted even better! - If you are looking for a brunch place with hearty food and warm-hearted staff I would highly...
Read moreI was very eager to visit this place. It was fully booked inside we had to sit outside since we didn’t have a reservation. So I recommend making a reservation beforehand. There were heaters and blankets to warm up as it could be cold outside. The tables are very close to each that it feels like you‘re sitting with strangers on one big table. Everyone could hear each other talking which was annoying at one point. The food was okay, I ordered the Smoked Salmon Bagel. The bagel itself wasn‘t quite fresh to be honest and it was so hard to figure out how to eat it😅 The Flat White was good, and the pancakes were okay. They were fluffy. I liked the orange juice. I must say they use rosemary religiously (over use it). The waitresses...
