Café Tasso - Das andere Antiquariat — Restaurant in Berlin

I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s an ethical establishment & bio certified. The staffing is a part of program in called SinneWerk; which means employees with disabilities & without disabilities work together. As far as the food, it’s all bio so your guaranteed fresh, healthy ingredients. I’ve only been for breakfast & thought it was great. The coffee could definitely be better, but by far not the worst. Atmosphere is pleasant indoor or out. There’s a lovely German book selection in case you want to read while you dine. And you can bring your laptop! As far as casual places to eat for breakfast & lunch, I think it’s one of the best in Fshain. Plus prices are fair & not overpriced like a lot Restaurants are...

Das Café Tasso ist als Antiquariat und Cafe eine kulturelle Institution in Friedrichshain und liegt in Laufreichweite vom Ubhf Frankfurter Tor.

Durch das tolle Speisenangebot, die leckeren Getränke und die große Auswahl an antiquarischen Büchern ist das Tasso nicht nur im Kiez, sondern in ganz Berlin bekannt. Jedes Buch kostet 1.50 Euro und das Angebot erstreckt sich über tausende Bände in denen sowohl Fachliteratur, als auch Belletristik, Bildbände, Kinderbücher und die hohe Kunst zu finden ist. Hier kann man sich stundenlang aufhalten und die Bücher bei einem Kaffee auch gleich anlesen. Die Mitarbeiter sind immer zuvorkommend und helfen gern bei der Suche nach dem "besonderen" Buch. Betreuung auf bestem Niveau.

Das Speisenangebot ist zertifiziert, immer Bio, aber trotzdem nicht teuer. Die Karte bietet wechselnde Gerichte, weshalb sich ein Besuch immer wieder aufs neue lohnt. Aber nicht nur am Tage, sondern auch Abends ist durch die wechselnden Veranstaltungen immer etwas los. Nicht nur Konzerte, Ausstellungen und Lesungen, sondern auch Kleinkunst finden sich hier jeden Tag. Der Eintritt ist immer frei und es werden viele Kulturprojekte unterstützt.

Aus diesem Grund ist das Tasso uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen für jeden Berlinbesucher, der nicht nur auf ausgetretenen Touristenfaden wandeln will, sondern einen Blick auf die hier lebenden Menschen haben will. Tolle Gespräche und interessante...

Lovely and cosy cafe near U-Bahn Frankfurter Tor. Beautiful and appealing interior. Currently you can have coffee inside with covid test, but outside, on the terrace you can stay without any tests. Tasty and beautifully decorated breakfast. Especially tasty fresh baked, and still warm croissants. Also friendly service. Beautiful place!
