This is my favourite Berlin weekend market on either day. Come here on Saturday to stock up on fresh veg, meat, cheese, fish, fresh herbs, artisanal liquor, Spanish products (well priced jamon!) and whilst you are at it grab some cooked food from some of the vendors who could be selling tagine, fried fish, fresh juices and all sorts..
Sunday is a great flea market. If I had a permanent home in Berlin I would be here all the time looking for vintage items for the house, as I keep moving countries I have to behave myself. There always seems to be an interesting selection of items at reasonable prices and by reasonable I mean, not cheap, not expensive but just fair. From 60's vases to vintage lamps, nice furniture to immaculate condition GDR bikes, it's all here.
There are also a bunch of vinyl sellers up here so if you want an old school music fix then you will find something to spend your money...

Read moreThe park is an absolute mess and occasionally even has some crack head/junkie campers setting up a mini commune. The ground is so covered with cigarette butts, bottle caps, corks, and bits of plastic that it's really not a park but a garbage dump. I'm really not sure why the city doesn't invest more resources into this space that is frequented by the local community, because if they did it would definitely be a top destination for weekend visitors. There is a great food market on Saturdays and a flea market on Sundays. The flea market seems over priced but you can absolutely barter most people downy half. A word of warning: many dogs get sick visiting this park so make sure they don't...
