En route to an appointment, we came upon this unassuming cafe which turned out to be one of the best places to eat during our stay in Berlin Mitte. We made a point to return daily, and happy to report that each and every time, the counter service was top notch--overly courteous and patient even though we struggled with food labels (we don't know any German). It's more than just another coffee shop, as their offering of desserts, snacks and sandwiches is very extensive. You can easily bring your kids here, as there are baby stools and areas where kids can draw and color.
