This was my first time using the Berlin WelcomeCard and purchased the three day ABC pass. This pass is an absolute must for travel in and around Berlin. Having the peace of mind to jump on/off without validating was great. I think the overall value of the three day pass was good, but it's still on the pricey side in my opinion. However, this didn't detract from a brilliant experience in Berlin. I will also recommend the BVG Fahrinfo App for easy navigation of Berlins various transport routes, this app compliments the WelcomeCard and makes travel a breeze. I absolutely love Berlin and can highly recommend this fantastic City, especially if you are a History fan, but it's so much more than this. Danke Berlin and Wir werden uns wiedersehen Darren

I purchased the 4 day Berlin WelcomeCard for 3 adults for 3 zones and for the amount of public transport that we used during that time it was excellent from a practical sense but difficult to gauge from a money saving perspective. We did save money on various museums which is much easier to see as the prices are clearer to understand. Over all I would recommend the 'card' as you can hop aboard all of Berlin's public transport without worrying about what tickets to buy. Please note that the online 'card' is an A4 printout from home that you must carry at all times. Berlin transport works on an honesty system but if challenged the fines can be hefty.

Please save your money! It is not worthy. I bought the all inclusive card, however they took the day of the purchase as the first day of use. Which means that I could not use a card that I bought in advance when planning my trip, I never could use it over there. At the tourist office, the staff did not mention about the card being "expired" when I first went, the person just said that I would not be able to go to specific museums without booking in advance and when I asked which museums instead of answering he was asking me "what museums do you want to go?" which is ridiculous because they have a looong list of museums, plus it was my first time in Berlin. He just needed to point to the places I needed to book in advance and he needed my prompt to do something as basic and obvious as that. Then, he said that I could not use the bus for the city tour today without saying when I could and the schedules. When I asked he just said you have to come tomorrow. It was really bad attention. When I went the next day the woman could not solve the issue with the date. This did not happen with the other passes I bought in other countries (Italy, France and Budapest) which tickets would be valid once you start using the card or pass. So, the lady told me this is a mistake that has not been solve by the company she made a phone call and tried to help but at the end she did not solve the situation and blamed as "they have not fixed this" and asked me to explain the situation when visiting the museums. I still was charged to a museum I went. Additionally, the staff seems overwhelmed so they are not really welcoming and helpful which should be the basic for an office offering touristic services. So, I gave to them 130 euros for nothing in exchange. A scam basically. Please save the headache, a lot of museums are free and other important museums are not expensive at all. You'll spend from 2 to 3 hours in each museum or attraction so if you're there only for 2 to 4 days, believe me you barely have time to use the card even if you buy it over there and are able to use it. It is just not worthy. You won't use what you will pay for. Its better just to buy your tickets online with each museum and buy the public transportation tickets over there. Additionally when I wrote to the contact information they provide, they replied 15 days later when of course I was back in town, the answer was about where to use the card as if I live there and can go any time and saying the can't not refund. (the 5 stars I gave are for people to be able to quickly read this) is not a 5 stars...

We purchased the 72 hour all-inclusive pass on our second day in Berlin from the concierge desk at our hotel which was very convenient. It was expensive, but based on what we visited and transportation and the prices had we not purchased a pass, we probably just broke even. The main reason being that there are so many attractions and sites that you can use this pass for, but, when we were there this May 2024, many of the operating hours of these places is from 10 to 6. So that does not really give you a lot of time to do museums if that is what you are interested in. If the attraction's hours had been extended till later in the evening then yes, probably worth it. There were many sites that we wanted to see included on the pass, but could not, due to opening hour limitations. Not having to line up for entrance tickets, or purchase transportation tickets was a real bonus. It was not overly busy when we were there. We did use it to go to Potsdam and take the hop on hop off bus. The Berlin city hop on hop off bus included in the pass, (there are others available in Berlin) was probably the worst that we have ever been on. It took forever to do the route (2.5-3 hours), with long waiting periods at various stops and hardly any commentary (there is a lot more which could have been said) and the quality of the sound was not very good. We wasted so much time taking this particular tour bus. This was also the general consensus of others on the bus too, although it did give you somewhat of an overview of the layout of the city. The bus driver was very friendly though. I would suggest that they do what they have in Paris, at night, but could be during the day too, where there is a route that is shortened, and has only two pick-up spots, and goes around highlighting the major attractions. Once you are on, you stay on, for 1 - 1.5 hours. That would be worthwhile. Also if there is a special exhibition at a museum, it is not included in admission pass, and you have to pay...

We had a complaint which we sent on reservierung@visitberlin.de:

"Dear Berlin Welcome Card Team, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and lodge a formal complaint regarding an order for two Berlin Welcome Cards that I placed and paid for on April 2nd through your official website. The order was intended for delivery to Croatia, and your website indicated an estimated delivery date of April 16th. Unfortunately, we did not receive the Berlin Welcome Cards. Despite this, we arrived in Berlin as planned. Upon our arrival at the Berlin airport, we visited the Berlin Welcome Card desk to explain the situation. We presented the order confirmation and payment receipts as proof of our purchase. However, the staff at the desk informed us that they were unable to provide us with the cards we had already paid for and could only offer us the option to purchase new ones. Consequently, we were forced to spend an additional €120 to purchase new Berlin Welcome Cards for two people at the airport (receipt attached). This means we have now spent a total of €240 for Berlin Welcome Cards, with the initial order never having been delivered. This situation is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. To pay for a service and not receive it, and then be required to pay again upon arrival, is outrageous. For your reference, all previous correspondence regarding this order is included below, and the receipts for both the initial online purchase and the subsequent purchase at the airport are attached to this email. We request a full refund of €120 for the original undelivered order for two persons. We expect a prompt resolution to this matter and look forward to your reply outlining the steps you will take to process our refund."

Unfortunatelly, we never received even a reply that they will take complaint into consideration. So, think about it before using and...
