Ristorante Cinque — Restaurant in Berlin

Terrible experience overall. our family showed up with a reservation and when we arrived, we were sat at a table in a separate room from the main restaurant that was very claustrophobic. it took the staff over 20 minutes to acknowledge we were there and finally gave us menus. after another 20 minutes we were finally able to place our orders for drinks and food. a bottle of wine took 15 minutes to come out, and a beer took over an hour and a half to arrive after we had to ask a different waitress from the one we started with, and it arrived lukewarm. when we were finally served our appetizers and entrees at the same time, it had been over 2 hours since we had sat down. the food only arrived after we had to pester the waiters and the cook staff. only one table in the separate seating area were given meals in a timely fashion. we saw a table leave early after 3/5 guests were served and the other 2 left hungry as their entrees arrived 30 minutes after they left. our entrees were cold, carbonara was buttered noodles with bacon bits, and the salmon pasta tasted like spagettios out of a can. the table next to us resorted to going to the outdoor tables to get silverware as the restaurant staff were unresponsive to their request. overall, this was the worst service I've ever received in my life. for a total time of 2.5 hours spent at this restraunt, we left hungry and immediately headed to another...

The outdoor seating vibe is wonderful actually. As one can expect, you're paying for an overpriced meal mostly because of the location. But what's ironic is that the 12€ tiramisu is not the worst bit of it.

Although I must say, the tiramisu is really good, and as authentic as I've found in Italian restaurants in Berlin.

Service was good, to a point where it was terrible. At some point, our server completely forgot our dessert order and came back after an hour only to apologize and say, but of course we would get an espresso or limoncello on the house because of our inconvenience.

Honestly I would never have been here in the first place, this was a friend's birthday party and while the atmosphere sitting outside is indeed beautiful, absolute waste of money. Food is at best mediocre and portion sizes make you cringe.

Food Quality: quite decent. I didnt get the feeling of fresh home made pasta, but still it was decent. The sauces are quite nice.

Portions: very nice portions. At least with the chicken sauce you really get full on pieces of chicken breast.

Drinks: mainly served in glasses, so i would assume from tap.

Price: $$-$$$ a bit pricy for business lunch in the area. The range depends if you will have a steak or pasta.

Service: very friendly, but super slow. They are quick to take care of making the orders, but kitchen was very slow to get the food out. I cant imagine it would take 45minutes to cook pasta. Also must add that for a big table only one bowl of Parmesan is definitely not enough.

Atmosphere: amazing terrace patio

Highlights: eating outside in the patio. Food not too bad.

Things to improve: kitchen getting food out faster. Especially for lunch as most of the time you are limited to a quick lunch.
