Das neue Café Leo — Restaurant in Berlin

A new cafe right in the heart of Wedding, this place is worth a visit for multiple reasons:

The staff are wonderful, extremely welcoming and knowledgeable.

The pavilion itself is beautiful. The glass and wood bringing a level of elegance to Leopoldplatz.

To make the space a central part of the community there is a varied plan of activities. On the day I visited a sewing class was making the most of the sun and was busy working away at the tables outside.

Serving speciality coffee roasted by Jaeger Morris Cafe Leo offers both espresso and batch brew filter. The food offering is all baked goods - think fresh croissants and tasty banana bread - which suits the atmosphere perfectly.

A welcome addition...

Excellent coffee, nice service, good music, lots of natural light. Not too many seating places inside. Mixed crowd of customers with a real Leopoldplatz feel — not your typical specialty coffee people. Closing time appears to be 17:30...

Kundenumgang unter aller Wertung Es regnet, ich bin gehbehindert, sage "Hauptsache schnell, ich kann nicht gut stehen" auf die Frage, welcher Kaffee. Und "schade, dass Sie so gar nichts zum Sitzen haben jetzt". Kommt pampig, es regne schließlich. Ich sage "naja, ein Dach, ein Schirm, eine Plane, irgendwas zur Überdachung-" und werde unterbrochen im übelsten Altersheimjargon "aber junge Frau, da werden Sie doch trotzdem nass am Popo". Das Konzept Stühle abwischen scheint unbekannt. Auch könnte man sagen, dass die Betreiber schlicht zu faul sind, Die vorhandenen Tische und Bänke und Schirme und Kissen zugänglich zu machen. Bin jetzt bei Sisters Coffee&Waffles trocken...
