We specifically wanted to visit a Ukrainian restaurant that day, and our choice was not random. We were looking for a place with authentic Ukrainian atmosphere, style, and decor — and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy, with dimmed lighting and Ukrainian music playing in the background, which we really liked. The waiters wore uniforms with traditional Ukrainian embroidery (vyshyvanka), and the staff overall was very friendly. We were served by a young woman — unfortunately, I didn’t ask her name — but she was very kind and welcoming. Our food arrived relatively quickly, and once we finished our first course, the main dishes followed soon after. In general, we enjoyed everything. The only downside was that the food was not very hot — just warm. It would have been better if the borscht and bograch were served really hot, as they are soups. But I understand why it happened: it was a Monday evening, the place was almost full, and there were only two waitresses working, so they were clearly doing their best. On the bright side, the full house shows how popular and tasty the food is here. Overall, I really liked the place and will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

I liked the place and I’m happy I can now have a good Ukrainian place to recommend to my international friends. I liked the borsch and lard plate, I would say I definitely will come again to eat soup or borsch. Also people are nice and friendly here, welcoming stuff. The only things are: potato dumplings have been super plain, potato was missing fried onion and some taste, it was just plain mashed potato even without salt and pepper. I think 10 euros for 10 of them was not reasonable especially they were not best. If you can fix this it can be very good, because we were surprised by this. Also herring salad was just recently made I think, also no salt or pepper, it needed to stay a bit in the fridge to get some tastes combined, because salad was on the taste like boiled vegetables and not classic salad I know when you have layers mixed and it does the magic. Also coffee was with too much milk, it wasn’t best. I will come in some time again to try the things out.

We took borscht here, pancakes with fish and their original desert. The food was excellent, extremely tasty, especially the borscht. Unfortunately, we couldn’t try other dishes, cause there was no electricity in the kitchen, so only borscht and cold dishes were available. Happens, no problem. However, the staff was extremely unfriendly to us. We had to wait for a menu for a long time and then they also took a while to get our order. We come from different counties, but we were speaking Russian to each other, maybe that was the reason (which I personally find racist). It might be a good place for Ukrainian visitors, but I personally would never recommend it to my friends. Please reconsider the way you treat people who are coming to a restaurant not only for a tasty food but for a good service as well.
