No and no. Considering how many really good places with chinese food exist meanwhile in berlin, this was just a big disappointment. the menue ist not inspiring at all, i think its mostly serving german people who still have their expectations about chinese food from the 80s. sweet-sour chicken etc. all starters we ordered were just miserable. chicken feet were served with no seasoning at all, i mean literally boiled in plain water and put on the table. no salt, soy, whatever ...nothing. everything came out at different times, so by the time the fried rice as a side arrived we already done with the rest, so we had just it. and it was again tasteless, no seasoning. same with the dumplings, came out after 40mins, few small pieces just sad and tasteless. service was polite, but that was it. i mean there are bunch of good places right across the street, so i dont understand...anyways...
Read moreHorrible experience. To start, I found a fly in the side dish that served with my noodles. What's worse, when I asked for her name and expressed my desire to speak to the manager, she refused both, displaying a rude and arrogant attitude. The lack of concern for customer satisfaction and the unprofessional behaviour of the staff are concerning. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates their customer service approach. Every customer deserves respect and courtesy, regardless of...
Read moreI couldn't rave any more. They say Charlottenburg has the most authentic Chinese food in Berlin..and well, they are right. I've tried all the top rated restaurants in the area and this one takes the cake, by far. They don't cut corners, meaning you can taste the time put into each dish, from overnight marination to 8 hour slow-cooking. Most restaurants have a championed dish, but every single one at Do De Li is quality here. I recommend the duck fried rice and all the noodle soups. Their noodles are made by hand and the soups don't leave you thirsty, so they make the broth without MSG/Bouillon cubes. Fair prices...it's really a bargain for the amount of food you get. Couldn't recommend any other place...
