Saigon Cuisine — Restaurant in Berlin

We were truly disappointed with our recent visit to this restaurant, where we had previously been regular and loyal guests.

When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty, and we kindly asked to be seated at a table by the window. Surprisingly, the server refused without offering any explanation. We asked to speak with the manager, hoping for a more understanding response—but she simply repeated the same answer, again with no justification.

We then politely said, “That’s unfortunate, we’ll leave in that case.” At that moment, she abruptly grabbed the menus from our hands and said, “You can leave.” Her tone was dismissive and unprofessional, and we felt humiliated.

This behavior is far from customer-oriented. When we reminded her that we had been frequent diners in the past, she responded, “We are the new generation. Do whatever you want. Whether you stay or leave, it doesn’t matter to us.”

It’s sad to see such a change in attitude and service. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not...

This is definitely not the best Vietnamese restaurant in Berlin, but the food is ok. Just don’t order drinks here, other than beer or other known beverages. My friend ordered some sort of ice tea, which looked amazing but tasted so sweet it was impossible to drink. Also, I asked for a shot of rum, and the waitress brought me vodka and then argued with me, insisting it was rum - a first for me, I must say... Then the rum I was finally served made me throw up, literally, after one sip - I believe something was actually wrong with it, it tasted spoiled somehow (again, my first experience of this kind...) Very affordable, somewhat underrated place among so many other good asian places in Kantstrasse. I've never had a bad meal here. Especially the small dishes are great but the full size meals are great too. Prices for Berlin and especially Kantstrasse are phenomenal. Staff is very friendly and usually quick. The atmosphere is ok but could be better, even after a complete redesign a few months ago. All in all I would definitely recommend this place for a quick, tasty and affordable...
