Masala Restaurant — Restaurant in Berlin

I've been eating here regularly for about six months, both take away and in house and am very impressed with the quality of both the food and the service. The kitchen here is oriented toward North Indian, Punjabi style cuisine so it tends to be milder, with creamy, rich sauces and not heavy on hot chili peppers.

A stand out are the samosas which are some of the best I've ever eaten. I asked the waiter and he tells me they are made fresh daily in house and that's how they taste: fresh and delicious. If you've stopped ordering samosas at other restaurants because they always seem to be lifeless and greasy, try them here, you'll be glad you did. Other dishes I've tried are the Punjabi Eggplant, in a tomato cream sauce with almonds and raisins as well as several chicken dishes which were also excellent.

Service is friendly and professional, the atmosphere is tasteful and not overdone and there's a nice terrace for outdoor dining. Masala is well...

Went there for a dinner. I asked for a table for one bcz I was alone. They gave me a surprised look as if how can a woman dine alone ? After placing my order they asked "it is for take away right ?" I said No. I am having it here. Again I was being stared at ! I finished entire sabzi and one naan and asked the waiter to pack dal and rice for me. As he was going inside he showed the rice and dal to his colleague and said in hindi "Manga kyu ?" meaning "why did she order this?". It was so rude. I am paying for the food which I asked to pack. I didn't even waste anything. It was extremely horrible.

Very kind staff, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. The food came very fast, it was super tasty and well cooked. There was a really large choice of dishes in the Menu with a section dedicated to children (important for tourists who may not know what to order for their children); they were all presented beautifully on the plates. The position (that may be an important factor for tourists) is convenient, it is only 10 minutes away from the U-Bahn station. The waiters were very open and friendly. Very very well...
