A Delightful Culinary Journey at NILA restaurant
I recently had the pleasure of dining at NILA Restaurant, a charming South Indian restaurant that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the owners, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
The highlight of my meal was the Kerala thali, a sumptuous platter that offered a delightful array of flavors and textures. Each dish was meticulously prepared, showcasing the authentic taste of Kerala cuisine. The fish curry was a standout, with its perfectly balanced spices and tender fish that melted in my mouth. The butter chicken was equally impressive, featuring a rich and creamy sauce that complemented the succulent chicken beautifully.
To accompany these dishes, I enjoyed the Malabari parantha, which was soft, flaky, and the perfect vehicle for soaking up the delicious gravies. Every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to authentic South Indian cooking.
Overall, my experience at MINA Restaurant was nothing short of amazing. The food was exceptional, and the owners' politeness and attentiveness made me feel truly welcomed. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to savor the true flavors of South India.

Must-Try Dishes:
Beef Dry Fry (BDF): The BDF at Nila is simply outstanding. The beef is tender, perfectly spiced, and fried to a crispy finish that’s just irresistible. It's a perfect blend of flavors that captures the essence of Kerala cuisine. Pal Kappa: Another must-try is their Pal Kappa (tapioca in coconut milk). The creamy texture and rich taste of the coconut milk, combined with the subtle flavors of tapioca, create a dish that’s both comforting and delicious. Fish Curry: Their fish curry is a true representation of coastal Kerala flavors. The fish is fresh, and the curry has just the right amount of heat and tang, making it a perfect pairing with steamed rice or kappa. The ambiance at Nila is warm and welcoming, reflecting the traditional Kerala culture. The service is attentive, and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu, helping you make the best choices.

Read moreWe recently booked a table at Nila restaurant and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. As an Indian couple visiting from Italy, we expected a welcoming atmosphere, but what we encountered was far from it. Despite arriving at a reasonable time, we had to wait nearly 30 minutes before we even asked for a menu ourselves. The service was painfully slow—another 20 minutes just to place our order.
What was even more frustrating was we didn’t feel safe during the wait, as there were a bunch of immature Indian students (sad to say, being Indians ourselves) who kept staring at us throughout. While this isn’t directly related to the restaurant, the staff didn’t seem to care about the atmosphere or show any concern. After waiting for long, we finally requested to have our food packed to go, which took an additional 30 minutes to arrive. We ended up eating in our car outside the restaurant because we were so uncomfortable. We initially trusted the positive reviews we read before visiting, but our experience was nothing like what we expected. Food was good but the experience killed the enjoyment of a good meal! Very disappointing and definitely NOT recommended for...
