Wilhelm Hoeck 1892 — Restaurant in Berlin

In spite of a very good food our total impression is negative. We felt like intruders, lady who serve us was unkind and unpatiend. She came to our table not even 5 minutes since we took our place and was very unpleased that we aren't ready to order... but the worst was at the end: when I wanted to pay I receied information that cash only. I wasn't prepared and when I told I havn't got enough cash-payment with card was magically possible. But I didn't receive any bill and total amount seems to be realy high (we took 1 vege potato soup, 1 starter meat ball with bead, 1 main course pork with popatoes, 1 beer and 1 juice and the bill was almost 50 euro, at photo total food order)! I regret I didn't verify that immediately but becouse of that mess with payment I was a bit confused... and I never expected to be chated in a restaurant with that traditions... After leaving restaurant I calculated my order from what I remember, even adding to full amount and the bill suppose to be at least 10 euro lower. We were offered cucumber salad, which price I didn't know, but if that was that missing 10 euro it was the most expensive small salad in my life! In opinions I can see I'm not the only one... Please be careful with that restaurant and always ask for a bill and check that. I hope that market and clients will verify...

I am 54 years of age and I have never met a more obnoxious women with such a shocking attitude as the old bag that works there. 12 of us all 50 to 60 tried to go there and get a drink on our first night with a view of getting food as well. She just looked at me and said you have to make a reservation no help in how to make a reservation mind I said can't we just order a drink and stand and she said no its a restaurant. We left and 2 days later I tried again this time 2 of us popped in to try a beer or two as they are a craft beer place. There was at most 12 people in there I just asked nicely can we ask about the beers you do and she snapped reservation you have to make a reservation. I said I am sorry but you have more tables empty than people in here we only want a drink 2 of us . She snapped at me they are all reserved and will all be coming in soon so you can't come in. She clearly doesn't like us English at all absolutely disgusting attitude to customers. Here are the facts though 12 people we would of had a meal each and a few drinks in there easy the amount of money she lost over 2 days with her appalling service manner is madness. She clearly needs to learn about customers and how to treat them with respect. Don't bother with this place she is not worthy of your hard...

Yestarday, we were looking for a place to eat some german food. Google maps suggested this place. We got a table, one waitress asked if we wanted to eat so she handed us the menu. I went to the toillet and my friend browsed the options. Suddenly a different waitress came to my friend and in a rude way asked what are you going to drink? My friend replied she haven't decided yet because we wanted to eat first. As soon as I came back the rude lady approached to ask me the same. I replied I don't know yet, so she started screaming "ok, you don't know, I don't know, what are you doing here" taking off the menu. I said, I have not seen the menu yet, she acted as she didn't understand my english, I repeated and finally she put the menu back on the table and left swearing out loud in german. The costumer on the next table noticed the rudness of the lady and kindly asked if he could help in anyway to make our order. Of course we did not wanted to stay, we were not asking for a free meal or a free drink, we were just asking for some extra time to make an appropiate decision. The place was not even crowded to act in such a way. That lady should not be working in hospitality. It was our second day in Berlin, and from the month we have been traveling through Europe this was the worst...
