Trattoria Fellini — Restaurant in Berlin

I booked a table for two at Trattoria Fellini, and what started as a promising evening quickly spiraled into one of the most disastrous dining experiences I've ever had. When I called to reserve, I spoke with Adele, who was polite and helpful throughout. Based on this, I expected a good experience. Upon arrival, Adele guided us through the menu with her recommendations, and we felt optimistic. However, that optimism vanished the moment the food arrived.

We ordered Saltimbocca Alla Romana and Salmone All Vino Bianco. What we received was nothing short of appalling. The pork in the Saltimbocca was stale, covered in a slimy, foul-tasting sauce that made me worry about food poisoning. I couldn’t even bring myself to eat it and left the plate untouched. Before ordering, we were assured they had their best chef working that evening — I can’t fathom how they could serve such garbage with any sense of pride. It honestly felt like something scraped out of the trash and dumped on a plate.

The salmon was no better. It was undercooked and raw inside, while the potatoes that accompanied it were burnt, charred, and inedible. The menu had promised Mediterranean vegetables, but instead, they lazily stir-fried some beans and threw them on both plates. The entire dish was an insult to the ingredients and an even bigger insult to the customer.

We didn't finish a single bite, and what’s worse, no one from the staff even bothered to check if something was wrong. They just handed us the bill, expecting us to pay for what was clearly an inedible meal. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, their only response was, "Come next time, and we’ll do better." Really? Why should there even be a next time when you can't get it right the first time?

I am disgusted by the way this establishment operates. They lure customers with pictures of well-prepared food, but in reality, it’s all a bait-and-switch. Humanity seems to have taken a backseat to greed, as the staff cares more about making a quick buck than treating customers with respect or offering a decent meal. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I will never return, and I strongly advise anyone else to stay...

Zu zweit waren wir an einem Freitagnachmittag in der Trattoria Fellini. Nach einem großen Antipastiteller und einem gemischten Salat haben wir die Saltimbocca alla Romana und das Lachsfilet vom Grill gegessen, abgerundet wurde das Ganze mit einem Tiramisu. Schon die Antipasti waren einfach nur 'verdammt' lecker, eine Zusammenstellung verschiedenster gegrillter Zucchini, Auberginen und Artischocken, dazu leckerer Käse, Schinken und Salami, Oliven und, und, und. Die Vinaigrette zum gemischten Salat war einzigartig und perfekt wurden die Vorspeisen durch noch ofenwarmes, frisches, leicht gesalzenes Brot. Meine Saltimbocca waren perfekt auf den Punkt und harmonierten ideal mit der Weißweinsauce und den Rosmarinkartoffeln - hervorragend passte das Glas Pinot Grigio zu dem Hauptgang. Das Tiramisu zum Nachtisch machte gemeinsam mit dem Espresso doppio den Genuss komplett. Die Trattoria war zu der Zeit (15:30 Uhr) nicht sehr voll, aber wir hatten das Gefühl, dass der Service nicht nur deshalb sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich war, er machte aus unserem Besuch ein bleibendes Ereignis - und eigentlich sollte es doch nur unser allwöchentlicher Gang ins Restaurant am Freitagnachmittag sein. Einer meiner bevorzugten Plätze für Treffen jeder Art, und das schon seit Jahren: Das günstig gelegene Restaurant, mit U-Bahn, Bus und S-Bahn gut erreichbar, bietet eine verlässlich solide italienische Küche mit einem aufmerksamen Service - alles zu moderaten Preisen. Und nicht nur darin zeigt sich der Charakter einer typischen Trattoria, sondern auch in der gemütlichen Atmosphäre.

Zusätzlich zur Speisekarte gibt es ein Lunchangebot mit einem günstigen Business-Menü (Salat, Hauptgericht, Softdrink) für 9,50 € sowie eine ebenfalls wechselnde Empfehlungskarte für den Abend mit saisonalen Gerichten. Ich esse sehr gern die Calamari Castellana (gegrillte Calamari auf Rucola, siehe Foto). Zurzeit auf der Tageskarte die Pizza Tirolese (ebenfalls siehe Foto). Die Getränke sind für Schöneberger Verhältnisse ausgesprochen preiswert: 0,2 l Wein ab 3,50 €, ein gut gezapftes Warsteiner gibt es für 2,90 (0,3).

Mittlerweile gibt es einen Lieferservice, vor allem für Pizza. Insgesamt ist die Trattoria Fellini nicht nur im Kiez beliebt und immer gut besucht. Von daher empfiehlt sich für einen Besuch unbedingt eine...
