Vagabund Brauerei Kesselhaus — Restaurant in Berlin

Giving this 5 stars for biased reasons: it’s a cartwheel away from where I live meaning I can easily crawl back home & won’t have to worry about the amount of alcohol I consume. This one is for the bigger Vagabund (there’s a smaller one, the taproom which is also a cartwheel away), they have a pretty good selection of beer. I’m not a fan of IPA but they do have other beer variants including their seasonal Weizen. They have some unique beer like their peach (or was it plum) beer which isn’t too sour & you can definitely taste the fruity note. They also do collabs with other microbreweries so your selection is not limited to what they brew. Staff is always nice & service fast. Pro tip: they have Happy Hour & everything is half off...

There's lots I don't like about this place. But the food is fantastic. Really delicious, well executed, very pretty and decently creative. And given that, the prices are okay. A little high maybe but if you choose a few things to share you can land at 20 euros per person for two people including a beer each, which is a great price for good dinner! Four dishes are a nice and filling amount for two, owing to the very fine dining like richness of the food. That being said - the music is bad and too loud; some of the staff is undertrained and unrecognizable because they just look like regular customers, no distinction at all; and the beer can be hit or miss. In sintesi: -Prezzo delle birre alla cassa non corrisponde con quello che scritto alla lavagna / listino prezzi; -Abbiamo pagato piu di 12 euro per 2 birre piccole; -Non mi è stato rimborsato quello che ho pagato in più; -Nessuno ci ha chiesto SCUSA per l'accaduto; -Le birre erano quasi temperatura ambiente.

Long Story : Alla cassa chiediamo informazioni su una birra e il ragazzo non sapendoci dare informazioni ce la fa gentilmente provare. Compriamo due birre piccole e paghiamo 12,30 euro con la carta ma uscendo e guardando la lavagna con i prezzi esposti, ci rendiamo conto che le birre piccole non costano piu di 4 euro l'una. Cosi torniamo alla casa e diciamo che evidentemente ci é stato un errore ma il ragazzo ci dice che lui non ha sbagliato ad battere e si ammutolisce. Insistiamo e ci fa vedere l'iPad (che utilizzano come cassa) per dimostrarci che ha battuto le birre correttamente. Il ragazzo NON ci chiede SCUSA. Gli facciamo notare che non c'è congruenza con i prezzi della lavagna e quelli sull'iPad. Dopo diversi giri di parole ci dice che non può ridarci i soldi indietro in contanti ma ci farà un bonifico della cifra che abbiamo pagato in più sulla nostra carta. Ci sediamo e beviamo le birre TIEPIDE. Dopo un pò arriva il "Boss" al tavolo e ci rimprovera davanti agli altri clienti che siamo stati "aggressivi" col ragazzo alla cassa e che ora è andato nel panico. NEANCHE il capo ci chiede SCUSA per aver esposto un prezzo sulla lavagna e però incassare un altra cifra quando si paga alla cassa. Ci dice anche lui che ci avrebbero rimborsato ma che il bonifico non é immediato e avremmo dovuto aspettare. Tutto questo è successo a FINE GIUGNO. Stiamo ANCORA aspettando il bonifico per quanto pagato in più...

FAZIT: Non essendo trattato gentilmente, da TUTTO il personale, continuerò ad andare alla Vagabund di Antwerpener Straße dove sono stati sempre preparatissimi e...
