Waterlily — Restaurant in Berlin

I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, no noise, no overcrowding, nice being able to speak without shouting. The forniture is simple and not fancy. The two ladies were really kind and we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in, though their English wasn’t perfect (who am I to criticise — don’t speak a word of German so)… there’s a menu in English. We got the summer rolls, very good, the salad with beef also very good (though a bit expensive — 14 euro for a salad is a bit too and +3 euro if you wish seaweed in it). My mum got the curry with shrimps, the taste was so yummy but not many shrimps to be seen in sight, incredibly little rice (like 3 spoonfool?). She had to order more rice as it wasn’t even enough to collect the sauce. I had the pho as a main which is never too filling (for me at least), but also in this case the portion was very very small so we ended up sharing another curry plate (crispy chicken) which brought the bill significantly up. It’s a shame as dish prices are individually good, but portions are really way too small for what offered. Please consider offering more food for the price asked. Adding some more rice or noodles would be no cost for them and more filling for the clients. Food was freshly prepared and came at the right time, not too slow, not too quickly. Bill ended up at 40 euro each so at the end of the day, not so cheap because of the small portions. Not sure I’d return, shame as the flavours are really nice and...

Excellent & friendly service. One of the friendliest restaurant I have been lately. Staff was smiling, fast in service, very polite, greeting and just being amazing. Service staff were kind and friendly, the atmosphere in the restaurant was really nice too. However, I feel that the price is a little too high for the quality and quantity that you get..
