Terrible, terrible service. Worst experience i had in Germany. The ladies were very slow, but that didn't bother me that much. Until i got the chance to order. I wanted two coffees and a plum tart to go. I ordered in German and for the tart I used the name that they had placed on the counter, in front of it. She gave me something else. When I looked in the bag (after paying, but still in the shop waiting for my coffees) I saw the error and told her. She told me that was what I ordered. I showed her what was written in front of the tart, she agreed it was a miatake, another client beside me agreed with me, she CHANGED the tag in front of us and then left. When she came back she took another order, w/out even looking at me. I said..could you please change my order?I really want the tart, not what you gave me....she looked at me pissed and blabbered something in German, saying that she gave me what I ordered. I was in shock. I told her it was their fault..placing the wrong name on the wrong product, she raised her shoulders as in "that's not my problem" and looked down. I was very frustrated with that attitude, especially because I already paid, what I got was more expensive and wasn't even something I liked. She actually left me there looking at her. Not even saying sorry. I thought this kind of attitude was impossible in Germany and especially in a very touristic town, Bernkastel-Keus, in the old market place. Oh, and the coffee was very...
Read moreWe were in this beautiful town for just a few hours as our cruise stops here. We went out to see the town and we thought of having a coffee and nice German fresh baked sweet rolls. We got in here because most of the cafes do not open until 10 and we had to be back in our ship by 10:15. So, we had extra time and decided to go to this BÀkerai on the main square. OH MY GOD! Talk about rudeness and unfriendly lady taking care of us! She is sooo disgusted with life that she made us feel uncomfortable. She was nasty as few people ever. I think she is fed up with tourists. But she is serving early morning coffee. The new day is opening and it is not nice to have such bad service considering the town is so touristic. Most cruises dock here and we all come down. It might also be that this firm does. It care about tourists. Very disappointed! Hope you spare your time and...
