Rien is an Institution in Bad Godesberg. Frequented mostly by locals and lifelong patrons, it’s a little oasis in the area. The owner Klaus usually is around as well. Service is busy but friendly.
Seating is limited and not fancy, so come in Sommer and sit outside (limited to 22 o’clock in the main area, beer benches until 23 o’clock). Be prepared to share a table if you’re inside. People might be playing cards, throw dice etc. Unfortunately the Billard table was retired a few years ago. Food is a tad above pub grub, but nothing fancy. Try the Flammkuchen or something savory (salad is so-so). There is a good selection of drinks, though mostly beers, wine and non-alcoholic drinks (juice, apple juice etc.). They pour the wine generously and beer & wine is well priced. Do not expect fancy cocktails. This is a classic German Kneipe with history and flair.
