Godesburger — Restaurant in Bonn

The place is nice and you can see that a lot of effort has been put into it, so the customer feels at home, also because the service is lovely. The burgers and the other plates looked also good. I tried a Godesburger with a Misch-Mash and the price was 11,50€, which I think it’s fair. The portions are actually large. Larger than your average German burger. The hamburger was good, but I would change the tomato paste on the bun, because it makes it a bit dry. I would suggest a sauce instead of a paste, and it would definitely make a huge difference. Pleasant location and ambience, especially in Summer when you can sit outside. Burgers a let down. Buns over-toasted, too much sauce/toppings. The patties themselves were too compressed so the texture and appearance was not that of a premium burger. Also overcooked (beyond well done). Little things just not well done, like bacon advertised as crispy being soggy and barely fried. Nice fries, drinks, everything else good and great service. If you are in Bad Godesberg, then I would give it a 5, however for sure there are few things which could have been done better. But I’ve found the burger I like since I’m not eating meat and there are only two vegetarian options. I love their Grune Wiese burger, very delicious and even “meat lover” would appreciate it.
