MA Bremen-Schlachte — Restaurant in Bremen

Initially, I planned to put four points about our experience, but one incident prompted me to revise my thoughts. We ordered Schnitzel, and the waiter offered us a choice between original and sweet potato fries. We opted for the sweet potato. However, upon settling the bill, we noticed an EXTRA charge of 1.5€ for the fries, which the waiter hadn’t mentioned. While we did find this detail in the menu, our limited proficiency in German made it a bit challenging for us.

My girlfriend decided to address this with the waiter or manager. Unfortunately, instead of receiving an apology or at least a calm response, we were met with a rather loud reaction directed at her. This was surprising and disappointing, as respectful communication is important, especially in 2024.

While I must say the food was quite enjoyable, I did have some concerns about the freshness of something in my salad. Overall, the staff interaction overshadowed our dining experience, and I hope my feedback can contribute to better communication in the future. Thank you for considering my...

Went twice for breakfast during a short stay, first time was great! Food was awesome and service were very friendly. Went back for a breakfast before leaving again for the UK cause of how good it was, but had a really awful experience.

Halfway through our meal, our server came over and asked us to move tables as he'd make a mistake seating us there, my mum at the time still hadn't finished eating and we said we're nearly done give us 5 minutes. Another gentleman then comes over, probably the manager, and insists on us moving as he can't make the other table wait? It left us all feeling relatively uncomfortable as there was no apology offered or any understanding as to why this is bad service.

It unfortunately put my mum off the rest of her meal, and left us all feeling extremely unwelcome and in a rush to leave, which was a shame as i was inclined to order more drinks.

Wouldn't come back purely due to this experience if i were to ever visit...

We had a cold meal for 50 euros. The restaurant was, let's say, half empty, there were enough waiters, but we waited forever. Let's start with the highchair, which I took myself (there was no waiter nearby), which was absolutely filthy. We sat near the kitchen and could see our orders. The chicken popcorn and fries were ready at least 15 minutes before we got them. We got the burger in about 5 minutes, but it was still cold. All the waiters were somewhere else. We couldn't even catch him to pay. After I said the food was cold, the waiter asked why I didn't tell him earlier, they could have replaced it. But...
