This is a very popular place, and for good reason: the food is quite tasty and despite the number of guests it arrived fairly quickly. Nice interiors too. However, the atmosphere is chaotic. Any time you enter, there are many people waiting for a table awkwardly positioned right at the door facing people coming in. It is loud and super busy, so while it’s not a big deal or outlandish per se, it’s not an ideal place for an intimate, cozy dinner. If you do want to eat here regardless, best make a reservation. The thing that did bother me was that the staff—however friendly—kept hovering over my group and asking how we will pay etc., without us calling them. Read moreWe walked on early on a Friday evening with no reservation. The food came fast after ordering and the staff were friendly. The tempura starter was the best item we ordered and kara Tori was also pretty good although the chicken was a bit stringy for my taste.
The Tokio ramen was standard, not the best I've had but pretty good. The broth was the best part and they did the ramen eggs as they should be but there was nothing making it stand out.
Unfortunately, there are no caps on the hot sauce bottles and when the waiter was moving a table he dropped one and it stained my brand new light blue shoes.
