Tokyo Streets — Restaurant in Bremen

I will preface this with the fact that ramen is one of my most eaten/favorite foods.

Excellent that there is a ramen place close to Sielwall. The atmosphere is laid back, very Bremen. It's possible to sit outside. They have a few craft drinks. I enjoyed a Virgin Mule which was super gingery, and for sipping (careful, it will burn if you don't sip). They also offer many dishes and drinks with Yuzu. So it is already the right kind of place for me.

The miso ramen for me was really authentic. Reflects a great ramen in Japan. The chicken broth ramen, although advertised with yuzu, tasted very bland. Did not notice a yuzu flavor. The fatty pork pieces were excellent as were the breaded chicken pieces. So overall I'm positive about the place, would like to go back and try the salt (shio) ramen. Portions are ok. I could go for a tiny bit more broth.

Wir warteten eine Stunde lang, in der Annahme, dass im Restaurant gerade Hochbetrieb herrschte. Als wir schließlich den Kellner fragten, ob unsere Bestellung vergessen worden sei, sagte man uns, sie sei im System. Also warteten wir weitere 20 Minuten. Erst nach nochmaligem Nachfragen gab man zu, dass unsere Bestellung gar nicht im System war, und fragte, ob wir sie noch einmal aufgeben wollten.

Was uns am meisten frustrierte, war nicht nur der Fehler, sondern auch die Art und Weise, wie er behandelt wurde. Offenbar hatte man nach unserer ersten Anfrage gemerkt, dass es ein Problem gab, ging aber nicht weiter darauf ein, bis wir ein zweites Mal nachfragten. Dieser Mangel an Kommunikation machte die Erfahrung noch schlimmer.

Wir beschlossen schließlich, das Essen erneut zu bestellen, in der Hoffnung, dass sich das Warten lohnen würde. Leider erwies sich das Ramen als eines der durchschnittlichsten, die ich je gegessen habe - definitiv nichts, was die lange Wartezeit oder den schlechten Service rechtfertigen würde. I've returned multiple times since my first visit and I'll definitely come back again!

It's a super cozy and affordable place for taking your time and hanging out, or just grabbing a quick bite to eat.

The service is very kind and wholesome, the waiting time never felt long.

I only wish the pickled radish would be back on...
