Hattis Restaurant — Restaurant in Celle

A colleague wanted to get a kebab one evening so we looked on Maps to what is around us and picked this place. It was a stroke of luck!

Ordered the Mercimek Ciorbasi (lentil soup) and was pleasently surprised it was actually Ezogelin (red lentil wedding soup). The taste took me back to Nazilli, Aydin. It was like being back in a small turkish restaurant in the heart of Turkey. 10/10.

Had the shaorma platter (No. 21 on the Menu) with bulgur instead of fries. The sauces were incredible, the meat was melt in your mouth and I would have licked the plate clean if it wasn't for the freshly baked bread that helped me not make a fool of myself in public.

I almost rolled to the car, I was so full and satisfied.

The staff is great, the owner was extremely friendly and found out he was from a region I used to work in, long ago.

If you ever visit CELLE and have never been to Hattis Restaurant... You have missed the best part of life. Hatti is THE most generous, open minded, kind and best looking and cooking ;) man in town. We have spent numerous times in there and enjoyed every minute. You can enjoy near east food as well as mediterranean and international food. When Hatti himself is too busy taking care about the well-being of the city, his lovely parents take control of the kitchen. American here in Germany on business. I've been here 3 weeks and just now discovered this place.

It is fantastic. My co-worker and I put this in the top 3 restaurants in all of Celle. We plan on making several trips here during the rest of our stay and it will be in our rotation of restaurants when we come back.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, but especially to Americans who want something a little spicier, more flavorful and more inclined towards American palates, especially if you are from the South or West US. This food will be right in your wheel-house if you're disappointed in...
