Maharadscha Palast — Restaurant in Chemnitz

One of the best indian restaurants in Chemnitz. Good ambience, great food and affordable price. I ordered naan, roti, paneer makhni, paneer karahi. Taste was excellent, the paneer was really so soft and also naan and roti. I told them to make gravy south Indian spicy and it was so delicious!!! Perfect taste. I ordered one natur lassi and mango lassi it was great in taste and the mango flavor was perfectly blended. The owner Sewa Singh Judge is a generous person and he offered some complimentary food. The last part of my dinner was cocktail drink which is a must try. It gives that satisfaction of fullness. So anybody who is new to Chemnitz or living here since years wants to try Indian food and also people from India who are missing Indian food must and should visit this amazing restaurant and try all the foods. Enjoy the great food!!!!!

5 stars because that is the limit!! I visited this restraunt several times and I never ever felt any changes in quality or the service or any insipid food. I have tasted all the vegetarian food that is listed in the menu but still I was craving for more dilicious food. But Maharadscha Palast never disappointed me. The owner and the most hospitable person Sewa Singh Judge took my order on request and brought me the most delicious and flavoursome dish from his kitchen. I took my friends who came to visit me from other parts of Germany to this place and now they are also big fans of Maharadscha Palast. I ordered Gobi manchurian, Paneer butter masala, Veg kolhapuri and butter naan (not in the menu but on request) the taste was finger licking. Gobi was crunchy from outside and soft from inside, veg kolhapuri was so appetizing and the combination of butter naan and paneer butter masala was full flavoured. I didn't had such a soft naan in Germany never before, it was just melting inside the mouth. I would highly recommend everyone to try butter naan for sure at MP. For dessert lovers I would suggest to try Rasmalai it will blast a flavour bomb in your mouth for sure. The ambience gives the feel of Indian restraunt at first, the food will enhance that feel and the service will give the feel of homeliness throughout. Once again, if anyone searching for a good Indian food or anybody who are new to Chemnitz and craving for good Indian food then this the best place for. No one will ever regret after visiting this place for sure....

Ich möchte vorweg damit starten, das Geachmack bekanntlich immer subjektiv ist und demnach auch meine Wertung (hoffentlich) nicht für jeden reproduierbar, dennoch möchte ich jeden potenziellen Bestellinteressenten hiermit eine ganzheitliche Bewertung ermöglichen.

Mein Eindruck: Bestellt wurde Uber Eats und das auch absolut zufriedenstellend.

Als das Essen jedoch ankam, ergab sich das erste Malör: Eine Suppe war ausgekippt im Beutel verstreut, weil lediglich mit Frischhaltefolie abgedeckt wurde, anstatt mit einem Deckel. Zwar kann der Lieferant möglicherweise eine Mitschuld daran haben, sichere Verpackung schaut aber anders aus.

Die Suppe die noch übrig war, war dadurch besonders kalt.

Das bestellte Bathura Brot war aber auch schlechter, als meinerseits von anderen Restaurants gewohnt: Relativ kalt und sehr teigig = Eine längere Zubereitung hätte hier m.M.n. offensichtlich geholfen, schließlich kauft man es sich extra dafür.

Geschmacklich konnten der Rest Suppe (Hähnchen), als auch das Hauptgericht (Chicken Korma) leider aber auch nicht befriedigen: Sowohl die Suppe, als auch das Chicken Korma schmeckten auffällig nach Fertig - Kräutersauce, sehr salzig - bitter und mit auffälig wenig Farbe (nur Weißtöne + Kräuter). Einzig und allein der Reis + das pure Hühnchen schmeckten frisch und saftig.

Das Restaurant war für telefonische Rückfragen nicht zu erreichen, was jedoch daran gelegen haben könnte, dass die Bestellung kurz vor Schließzeit aufgegeben wurde.

Kurz um: Für mich und meine Partnerin eine (teure) Enttäuschung auf ganzer Linie. Ca. 25€ p.P., zwar satt, aber geschmacklich absolut unbefriedigend.

Mir ist bekannt, dass dieses Restaurant für viele andere schon als "Institution von Chemnitz", etc. geachtet wird und wenn dem so ist, freut mich dies für jeden, der sich dabei befriedigt bedient fühlt. In Anbetracht meines heutigen Essenserlebnisses würde ich jedoch zur bereits getesteten Konkurrenz des "Paradise" o.Ä. anraten, da diese nicht nur günstiger, sondern zumindest für meine Geschmäcker auch das gehaltvollere Speisen ermöglichen.

Ich kann nur mutmaßen und dem Restaurant den Tipp geben, dass man späte Bestellung auch ablehnen kann, um so Fehler/Leichtainnigkeiten bei der Zubereitung zu vermeiden, sollte es daran heute gelegen haben.

Ich hoffe daher hiermit eine sinnvolle Kaufentscheidung zu unterstützen und wünsche abschließend einen...

One of the most authentic Indian restaurants I’ve encountered while in Europe. This is as close as you can get to Indian food. Taste for the food items we ordered was immensely good. I would strongly recommend this place and would come here again when visiting Chemnitz. The portions size for my meal was good enough for 2. And then we talk about service, host of this restaurant with name Sewa Singh / Aman Singh was so welcoming, it literally felt like i am sitting in an authentic high rated restaurant in Delhi (India).
