Im Erdgeschoss stehen die versteinerten Baumstämme die zuvor vor den Kunstsammlungen waren. Sehr sehenswert. Die Stadtbibliothek ist drin. Ihr Versammlungsraum für Veranstaltungen wirkt aber leider wie ein Bunker. Auch das Naturkundemuseum ist drin. Zum Namen Tietz habe ich keine Beziehung. Ich kannte mal eine Landesbedienstete ähnlichen Namens die am Arbeitsplatz gestorben ist. Auch in chemnitz war das. ihr Name begann mit D und endete auf e. Bevor es das tietz wurde, war Kaufhof drin. Den gab es als zweiten laden noch im zschocken Gebäude, wo jetzt das hoch gelobte Smag drin ist. Davor liegt ein Baumstamm aus echtem Holz, auf den man sich setzen kann, statt auf eine bank.
