The food there is good and is reasonable price. I would recommend pad thai noodles. The Quantity is also good. The toilets are nice. You need to order at the counter yourself and they will bring the food to the table. The staff at the counter doesn't speak English so it will be difficult if you don't speak German. Ich war wirklich mit Vorfreude im Thai Gourmet auf der Zülpicher Straße, da ich thailändisches Essen liebe und schon einiges Gutes gehört hatte. Leider wurde ich total enttäuscht – vor allem vom Service.

Schon beim Eintreffen wurden wir kaum beachtet, obwohl das Restaurant nicht voll war. Es hat ewig gedauert, bis jemand kam, um die Bestellung aufzunehmen. Auf Rückfragen oder Wünsche wurde unfreundlich und genervt reagiert, fast so, als wäre man eine Last. Getränke kamen erst nach mehrfacher Nachfrage, das Essen wurde teilweise falsch gebracht und dann auch noch kalt serviert.

Als wir höflich darauf hingewiesen haben, kam keine Entschuldigung, sondern nur ein genervtes Augenrollen. So etwas geht gar nicht – besonders nicht in der Gastronomie. Der Service war insgesamt chaotisch, unkoordiniert und einfach unprofessionell.

Das Essen selbst war durchschnittlich, sicher nicht schlecht, aber durch die schlechte Erfahrung mit dem Personal konnte man es kaum genießen. Schade, denn das Lokal hätte eigentlich Potenzial.

Fazit: Ich komme definitiv nicht wieder. Wer Wert auf guten Service und eine angenehme Atmosphäre legt, sollte lieber...
