MONEY-GRAB. AVOID AT ALL COST.
I have been to raves and concerts for close to a decade now, going to dozens of venues across Germany and the United States and this one has got to be one of the ABSOLUTE WORST places to go to. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Not only do they criminally oversell tickets to the point that they intentionally break fire code, where it becomes so crammed that people cannot even move past each other to get to the bathroom or outside (which are all equally as crammed), but they also do not have ANY water fountains and refuse to hand out any free water at the bars, and they even went as far as recently changing the sink faucets in the bathroom to spray at a really slow rate (instead of flowing in a normal stream), intentionally done to prevent people from refilling their cups/bottles with water from the bathroom sink, which is a liability (especially when they oversell tickets to the point that the place is so tightly-packed that people are constantly falling over from heat exhaustion). There is also a serious danger of suffocation and stampedes, because of the sheer amount of people they let into the venue at once, just so they can make as much money as possible off of those in attendance, to the detriment of their health, safety, and experience. Moreover, the bartenders are EXTREMELY rude to their guests and refuse to even give out empty cups for people in desperate need of water, and the so-called "shots" they sell appear to contain only syrup and no alcohol. The production is also one of the most underwhelming I have ever witnessed, with countless small local clubs having better sound and lighting than this place. Lastly, they often don't start letting people into the venue until well past the event was supposed to begin, leading people to queue up in a massive line for ages, because they are too incompetent and understaffed to properly process people. Security was also a joke, with the security guards barely patting people down and not even asking folks to empty their pockets, making it extremely easy for someone to sneak in a switchblade or other form of knife/weapon. The amount of negligence I have witnessed at this venue is truly mind-boggling. I would give them zero stars if I could. If you value your health, safety, and a quality experience, AVOID THIS VENUE...
Read moreOne of the best discoteque worldwide. Maybe the best one on this Planet. The Club is simply amazing with incredible music. This is the music i LOVE since i was a Teen ager playing in MY home as a "bed room DJ" with my 2 Technics SL 1210 MK2 turntables/Schallplatten spielern and later with the CDJ Pro DJ (CDJ 100, 400 and so on) . Top Deejays at work in the DJ booth every evening. Reggaeton strictly forbidden luckily. The Sound System is something incredible: It is like listening to the music in my professional Pioneer proDJ headphones. In Ibiza there is only one nightclub that can be compared to the marvelous Bootshaus. For me the MOST important thing in a discoteque is the MUSIC and the quality of the sound System. At the "Bootshaus" both are simply AMAZING. Just to be clear the Name of this balearic Club begins With an "A". But there are big differences between the Bootshaus and the Balearic "A". The location of the Bootshaus is incredible and unbeatable. The Bootshaus is open 12 months a year and the "customers" are completely different from the ones you can find (borrachos y molestos....) in Ibiza. Another Planet. Who knows Ibiza's people knows very well what i mean. The Bootshaus is Very close to the Köln - Deutz Train Station/bahnhof and to the wonderful Lanxess Arena. After attending live a great DEL eishockey evening match of the Kölner Haie (wir Atmen Eishockey) at the amazing Lanxess Arena there is NOT a Better choiche than to head to the "Bootshaus" and dance till the morning light very close to the Rhein River. My first time at the "Bootshaus" was after a fantastic concert of Madonna at the Lanxess Arena. One of the best evening/night of my entire Life without any doubt. Now i'm addicted to the "Bootshaus" and it's music.... Ich muss gratulieren das "Bootshaus". There is only one Club at this top Level but to dance in this "Z" club you must fly to the "uniquely...
Read moreI came from the UK to visit my friend, and we got tickets for Saturday night to enjoy electro music. The sound quality was great, it wasn’t overcrowded, and we could easily find space to dance, sit, and walk. There was coat storage at a reasonable cost, a small yard to smoke and talk, and food was available in the yard as well. The vibe was so music-oriented and lovely, with people dressed smart casual.
Around 3 a.m., they opened the gate and merged two joint clubs, which was a smart move. One played pop dance music, while the smaller one, where we had tickets, was focused on electronic and techno dance music.
We had a great time, and I’m really happy to have experienced German clubs.
The only negative experience we had was a racist action by one of the bartenders. We ordered a bottle of water, and my friend left a small tip. The second time we stood in line for drinks, she served everyone, but when it was our turn, she ignored us and started serving people from the other side. We thought maybe that’s just how it works, but after serving 5-6 people, when it was our turn again, she stopped serving, went to the other side of the bar, and pretended to be busy. She eventually came back and looked around as if to figure out whose turn it was. We were shocked.
We were finally served, and she even gave a slight smile despite her otherwise grumpy demeanor, as if she wanted us to notice that she was intentionally ignoring us. She couldn’t ruin our night, but I felt sorry for her. It...
