Park-Café — Restaurant in Cologne

Nice seating outside with a good view of the park. The prices for drinks will obviously be slightly higher than if you were to buy from the supermarket.

The Geflügelbockwurst (chicken sausage) with fries, which was for €9.50, in my opinion is a bit over priced for what felt like just an oversized frozen frankfurter that was cooked and served with some fries and a packet of hot mustard (extra charge for additional mayo or ketchup).

You have like a beach club bar and restaurant just walking distance south of the park by the river (opens around 4 PM) rated better and the prices on their menu is either the same or slightly...

Schlechtes Konzept noch schlechter Umgesetzt.

Man stelle sich vor: ein Restaurant in Traumhafter Lage mit Blick auf den Rhein und den Dom drumherum nur Park & Natur und das Konzept ist Selbstbedienung Kaffee und Kuchen und Pommes mit Wurst …na wenn das nicht zum verweilen Einlädt… Aber halt…es gibt ja noch die oberste Terrasse auf der man übrigens nur sein darf wenn man auch bereit ist dort ordentlich in die Tasche zu greifen …Dort wird man immerhin bedient zwar von ungeschultem Personal aber zur Selbstbedienung in den unteren Ebenen ist auch das ein Fortschritt… Leider auch hier keine feste Karte oder irgendein ersichtliches Konzept wir hatten eine Platte mit Lachs & verschiedenen Wurst Scheiben mit Brot und zwei Soßen …Leider kam ausnahmslos alles von Lidl das weiß ich ganz genau da der direkt neben meiner Wohnung liegt und ich für mein Privates Frühstück dort selbst diese Produkte kaufe …Nichts wurde zubereitet einfach nur aus der Verpackung raus und dekorativ auf dem Teller platziert …und das ist für 16€ dann schon echt eine Frechheit … Achso und aufgepasst die Getränke sind in der Oberen Ebene 50 Cent teurer obwohl die Cola 0,2 genau die selbe ist wie die für 2,50€ statt 3,00€ eine Etage tiefer…

Also für wen ist dieses Lokal nun Interessant… Vielleicht für Schaulustige von Katastrophen oder wenn Picknicken mit Lidl Sandwich am Rhein nicht schick genug ist und man lieber das 10 Fache zahlt und dafür von einer Terrasse auf die Geringverdiener schauen kann…😂

Für alle anderen: am HBF Deutz zum Bäcker da habt ihr mehr Service der Kuchen ist deutlich billiger frischer und schmeckt besser oder geht in Deutz in den Supermarkt packt euch das ganze ein nehmt euch eine Decke mit und ihr habt einen deutlich günstigeren und schöneren Tag im...

We were glad to find a cafe when we got off the cable car as there wasn't anywhere else to get a drink and use the toilet. We weren't too sure if it was open or not as some of the chairs were fastened with a wire. We ordered a latte macchiato (we wanted a latte but that wasn't on the menu) and that was a bit odd. The stirrer stated upright in the drink and the 'froth' was solid. It tasted ok but was just a bit strange. Toilets were clean. I got my 50c coin ready (as advised of the cost on the door downstairs) but there was nobody to give it to. It was pleasant enough...
