City Grill, FALAFEL POPEYE — Restaurant in Cologne

I came to the shop because i have had only heard good things about the spot. So i gave it a go!

Those falafels were amazing, the meat felt special in a way that it was spiced and very flavourful.. The freshness of the salad was in its crispness! The service was amazing too..

All and all in.. I was glad I went there and left happier than i came in. I am therefore totally recommending this spot.. everytime im around i am definitely getting a bite! 😍

One of the best falafel shops in the city!!! Really good food! Tahini sauce ties everything together beautifully, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful! Perfect for a quick eat but they also serve deliveries and so I assume they cater for larger groups. Oh and of course there are options for vegans, vegetarians and meat...

Das Essen war leider kalt und hat nicht gut geschmeckt. Das Brot war hart und zerbrochen. Am Telefon war die Kommunikation schwierig – die Mitarbeiter sprechen kaum Deutsch, hauptsächlich Arabisch, und mussten ständig Kolleg*innen rufen, um weiterzuhelfen. Es wäre hilfreich, wenn jemand mit guten Deutschkenntnissen ans Telefon gehen könnte. Ich selbst spreche zwar Arabisch, aber wusste nicht, dass es sich um ein arabisches Restaurant handelt, bis ein Mitarbeiter auf Arabisch einen Kollegen rief – dabei fiel ein unhöflicher Kommentar über mich. Diese Erfahrung war insgesamt enttäuschend. بصراحة الأكل كان بارد وطعمه مو طيب، والخبز كان قاسي ومكسر. لما حكيت معهم عالتلفون، ما كانوا يعرفوا يحكوا ألماني منيح، وكل شوي ينادوا حدا تاني ليكمل الحكي لأنو ما عم يفهموا. بصراحة، الأحسن يكون في حدا بيرد عالتلفون وبيفهم ألماني. أنا أصلاً بحكي عربي، بس ما كنت بعرف إنو المطعم عربي إلا لما سمعت واحد من الشغيله بيحكي مع زميله وبيقول عني شي مو حلو. ساعتها عرفت، بس بصراحة هالشي خلى التجربة...
