Went for a coffee due to the reviews, but quite disappointed with the way they treat people.

Coffee itself was good (flat white was quite strong for me, so I requested to get more milk on it). If they asked me to pay more money for it, I would have - but they didn't, so I just left it at that.

In terms of service, what took me aback was even though I asked for a takeaway, they asked me to choose a 'tip' while making my payment via card, and there was no service to tip for firstly. Also the amount came to 8EUR in total (which may not be a lot of money for many people these days), but I feel people should NOT be forced to pay tips. It should be for extraordinary service and the customers should voluntarily feel like tipping. This shop should keep a tip box instead, like other coffee shops. When I said I don't want to pay a tip, the attitude of the person changed completely - like they were looking down on me (this showed evidently when the next customer went to order something). I'm sorry, but I think my decision to NOT pay a tip turned out to be right.

Please treat all customers equally, no matter whether they pay tips or not. Tips are paid out of volition and NOT MANDATORY.

I've never faced this kind of service before in other places in Germany, so I'll probably never go to this place again, but I hope they improve on this from next time onwards, so that others don't go through the same...

Ich bin eigentlich kein Fan von Cafes mit antik oder trödelmärktem Flair. Für mich wirken sie schmudelig ( und tatsächlich viele davon sogar muffig) auch wenn manche sagen würden es ist so 'homey'. Man fühlt sich wie bei der Mama, Tante oder halt Oma!

Eine oder zwei Ausnahme macht man ja. Immerhin ist man nett und flexibel! ;-) Deshalb mache ich für Kaffeebud auch eine Ausnahme. Hier wirken die alte Möbel, Gemälde und Dekos irgendwie süß. Und lustig! Das Ambiente passte gestern auch gut mit den 2 Mitarbeitern ( oder Betreiber) zusammen. Nett und sorgsam. Als wir ankamen war das Cafe leer und deshalb habe ich mich mehr getraut zu fragen ob sie meine amerikanische Brownie warm machen können. Die junge Mitarbeiterin anwortete: der Ofen ist warm und sie würde es gern für mich warm servieren!

Mein Latte Macchiato war natuerlich schmackhaft. Gute Kaffeemaschine und Kaffee aus dem Haus Van Dyck! Hier kann man auch Siphon Kaffee für ca 3 EUR bekommen.

Wie ist der Kuchen geworden? Lecker! Ohne Ende! Nächstes Mal würde ich aber den Tschechischen Kuchen(Marlenka) bestellen da ich gestern von meinem Liebelein kosten durfte. Der schmeckte mir sogar besser als das Brownie. Also wirklich von gute Qualität und...

With the indoor space now newly re-opened and the interior is a beautiful relaxed space to indulge or get a little work done. It was an ok experience. Its a classical 3rd wave coffee place but their coffee was too light. I couldn't taste much coffee at all. For the price, its ok. Ambience is nice and eclectic. Service is ok, but they get quite busy. Cakes are classic german varieties. Nothing to shout. Somewhat disappointing because we expected more from one of the best rated cafe in the area.

It was an ok experience. Its a classical 3rd wave coffee place but their coffee was too light. I couldn't taste much coffee at all. For the price, its ok. Ambience is nice and eclectic. Service is ok, but they get quite busy. Cakes are classic german varieties. Nothing to shout. Somewhat disappointing because we expected more from one of the best rated cafe in the area.
