I was shocked, upset and disappointed by the service at Früh em Veedel. I brought my grandparents here when they came to visit me in Köln as I wanted to show them a traditional German bar but I will never go back to this rude and horrible place! They tried to take advantage of and massively overcharge my grandparents, who were too embarrassed to speak out so when I tried to politely accuse them of this they started shouting at me claiming I was trying to scam them and saying that we had drank way more than we did, but unfortunately we had no proof because they had sneakily kept our drinks bill behind the counter (which is not typically done in Köln). For me this was a real German pub (my first visit to Germany) and the food reflected this.
