Gyros bei Spyros — Restaurant in Cologne

I first has a gyros at Spyros in 1998 whilst I was a student at the University. The food is absolutely brilliant, it is very tasty and fresh and the prices are great too. There is a lot of choice and one can buy very tasty Greek wine or strong ouzo to wash the food down with.

Even though I moved out of Germany in 2004, I still ensure that I visit the place for a meal, every time I visit the city.

Heute erste Mal über Lieferando hier bestellt und ich bin mehr als zufrieden! 🤤 Die Bewertungen an sich sind etwas durchwachsen, von daher weiß ich nicht, ob ich einfach Glück hatte, aber ich kann nur bewerten, wie es jetzt war, und es war top! Fleisch saftig und gut gewürzt, nicht zu fettig. Pommes lecker (besonders für Lieferverhältnisse) und teils sogar noch knusprig! Tzatziki schmeckt, so wie erwartet. Hätte nur etwas mehr Tzatziki sein können, aber man kann es auch positiv formulieren, dass die Gyrosportion sehr großzügig ist 🙂 Anzumerken ist, dass der Laden von mir nur 7-8 min. entfernt ist mit dem Rad, das kommt dem Geschmack natürlich zu gute. 40-50 min. Wartezeit war angegeben, am Ende war es ne Stunde, noch im Rahmen. Bestellt hab ich gegen 19 Uhr. Natürlich varriert die Fleischquali, je nachdem wie viel noch am Spieß hängt und wie lange schon. In meinem Fall war es perfekt! Ach ja, Salat war ok, nix besonderes. Aber wer Gyrosteller bestellt, dann nicht wegen...

Heavily overpriced
