Tasty India — Restaurant in Cologne

We went here spontaneously for lunch right around the time they opened. I had the chole bhature and dahi bhalla, the chole was delicious, but the bhature were a bit too crispy, usually they’re supposed to be soft and fluffy. I was very excited seeing the dahi bhalla on the menu as it’s a classic Delhi street food. The yoghurt and chutneys were great and complemented each other well. The worst Indian food in Cologne. It even seems like a bad joke that the restaurant is named “Tasty Indian.” The meat dishes are a rip-off; for example, the lamb Vindaloo had way more potatoes than lamb by far. The Aaj Ki Daal lentils were so bad we had to throw them in the trash. Even something as simple and hard to mess up as naan bread was extremely mediocre. My partner and I came here spontaneously one night in the summer, he has been in Cologne for years and never been inside. We were so happy and excited with the experience in this restaurant!
