10 out of 10, maybe more - excellent service and food and environment. I visited with my friend on a very busy day, and there was no place to seat inside, but we were welcomed, and shortly such a great place was arranged at the patio, that we wouldn't even want to go inside. Re: the meat quality and steak - decent quality meat, prime select quality sourced. The steak was prepared to perfection. We also ordered garlic mashed potatoes with truffles - delicacy that I can say was very delicious here compared to other locations I have tried. We were helped with the selection of wine, which was great to. Oyster was fresh and yummy. Everything was great, and I can say as a business visitor in Germany, and food industry person, I have found the best steak house in Cologne. Meine vorherigen hohen Erwartungen wurden hier leider komplett enttäuscht. Man kann sich überhaupt nicht wohl fühlen, weil man von einem riesigen Team an Kellnern überlagert wird, welche KOMPLETTES Upselling betreibt.

Wenn man sich nicht für das „premium“ Filet entscheidet, wird einem endlos eingeredet das teurere zu nehmen, welches wir vergleichsweise auch genommen haben. Hierbei fällt auf wie trocken und grobfaserig das „günstigere“ Filet ist. Versprochen wurde einem, dass das „premium“ Filet mit dem Löffel essbar ist weil es so zart ist :D

Es wird einem der „bessere“ Wein angedreht (Eiswein 30€/100ml), welches eigentlich ein Dessert Wein ist und wird nichtmal zur Probe angeboten, sondern direkt 200ml eingeschenkt. Wasser musste man sich auch selber einschenken, die Kellner hingen ständig am Handy und waren null aufmerksam.

Ursprünglich habe ich ein 300g Steak bestellt, aber 400g erhalten, was sich erst später auf der Rechnung zeigte. Ein kurzes „Upsi“ von der Kellnerin hat die teurere Rechnung auch nicht komplementiert.

Das Steak wird hier auf heißen Platten serviert, was üblicherweise nur bei Chateaubriand so gemacht wird, weil das Fleisch, wie auch bei uns, komplett undercooked serviert wird und später viel zu trocken gegessen werden konnte. Für den Preis sollte das Steak perfekt nach meinem ermessen gebraten sein und nicht noch Arbeit meinerseits erfordern.

Die Vorspeisen waren auch so lala, man bekommt zu seinem Brot eine scharfe BBQ Soße?! Der Ceasar konnte geschmacklich null überzeugen und die Jakobsmuscheln werden auch mit einer viel zu scharfen Cocktailsauce serviert. Das „Trüffelkartoffelpürree“ hat für 15€ auch kaum nach Trüffel geschmeckt.

On top wird man mit einem möchtegern Vallet Service begrüßt, welcher die Autos vor der Tür auf der Straße parkt, was komplett unnötig und überzogen ist.
