We have been here 3 times now. We love the food, but the service is incredibly disappointing. The first time we came with our visitors. We came in a busy Sunday, so I understand the waiting time, but we waited around 40 minutes before we had to call someone over. The girl working was very snappy and rude that she was busy and we need to wait. Eventually we got to order, and while we were telling her what we wanted we were continuously yelled at by our server because she said she needed to write down what we were saying and that we couldn’t ask questions. After we finished our order my boyfriend asked the girl how long we should expect the food to take out of curiosity since we had already waited quite long and she yelled back “This is not a McDonald’s the food comes when it’s ready but I’m busy and don’t have time for this.” We were quite shocked. Later we tried to order a water, which we didn’t recieve until after we were all finished eating.
My boyfriend and I returned later on a Tuesday when the place was almost empty, but we still had to wait around 35 minutes until a guy came up to us. When he came to serve us we asked if we could order since we had been waiting long, and he proceeded to tell us we had not been waiting long and he put his fingers up in my boyfriends place telling him to stop shaking his head and being rude, even though all we asked was if we could order. We were left quite shocked again by the unfriendly employee again.
We really enjoy the atmosphere and the food here so we decided to return today with a visitor.
It started well with the service being friendly and quicker than what we had experienced before. We ordered 2 English breakfast and one rosti.
When we received the food my boyfriend and our guest received something else. I complained saying this is not what we ordered and the girl said she would go and check with her colleague. She then returned saying that her colleague insisted that this is what we had ordered, even though it wasn’t, and said that her colleague insisted she remembered me telling her this food. When we asked if we could fix it she said we would have to expect to wait another 20-30 minutes to recieve our food and that it would be stupid because she would have to throw away the wrong order.
I also ordered an ice tea and when I asked another server why I didn’t recieve it she said they didn’t have ice tea which the server who took our order never told us.
I myself work in a Michelin restaurant. I understand that some days are busy and that there can be mistakes, but to basically call us liars instead of admitting mistakes I find quite shocking. There seems to be no “the customer is always right” attitude at this place, and most of the employees we have encountered so far are incredibly rude and unprofessional towards the guest. I understand the employees are young and that it can be stressful when the place is full, but I would expect atleast a slight bit of friendliness from the employees when we visit. I don’t know if this is because we are foreigners and speak English when we are there, or perhaps because my partner and our visitors are a different race. We are unsure what the issue is because we really love the food, prices and ambiance, but the service really needs some work considering we have returned multiple times and still been treated poorly each time.
I rarely leave reviews but I feel it’s worth highlighting to the buisness owner the continued bad attitude we have endured every time.
Again, we love the food and the place, and would love to return, but are always left quite sad after our visit considering the way the...
Read moreLove the service! Staff was super friendly and extremely accommodating. This is definitely rare in the German service scene. If I was eating only on service, I would give it 5 stars.
Location is convenient. Round the corner from the bars and a good place to go for that hangover cure. We visited on a Sunday so it was quite packed but we got seated right away. Unfortunately, we waited about 1.5 hours for the food to hit the table. I think it was just cause it was opening month and were a little backed up in the kitchen.
They have a large selection of breakfast items, both sweet and savory. extensive drink menu with plenty of smoothies and juices to choose from. However, the food was quite average for the price that's set. The dishes are picture perfect but I wished it tasted as good as it looked. I would have loved to see more seasoning to really get those flavors to pop. The smoothie came down but was a little warm so didn't go down so great. Drinks were small and definitely not worth the money.
It might have just been a one time experience and would probably try it again at a time that less popular. I would still recommend it just because there aren't that many American breakfast...

We got a table immediately, but no one warned us about the insane wait times—we waited 50 minutes for our food. Needless to say, we had already finished our drinks before the food arrived, and no one offered us more drinks or asked if the food was good. Honestly, it was mediocre at best. My eggs benedict didn't have runny yolks, though the rösti was okay. It seems like aesthetics take precedence over taste since everything was very Instagrammable.
We informed our waitress that we wanted to order pancakes after our meal, but no one came to take our order. By that point, we didn't even want to wait another 45 minutes. 😃
To get the check, we had to stand with our jackets on next to our table before anyone approached us, and even then, they didn't ask if we enjoyed our meal. 😃
Can't recommend it—definitely not worth the wait or the poor service. I tried to mention to the waitress that we would have appreciated being informed about the wait time, but she didn't seem to understand English. We had 3-4 different waitresses during our...
