Golden Crown — Restaurant in Darmstadt-Mitte

Very unpleasant and unprofessional experience, I give 1 star because there is no way to give 0 star on Google Maps to complain about this experience that made me angry. I bought a bottle of Türkenlouis and a glass of orange juice on the night of April 21, 2023, for a total of 7.1€, and when I was paying I was told by the young female bartender that I needed to pay 2.3€ in advance for the glass of orange juice for the Pfand, which I did.

When I returned the glass 1.5 hours later I asked the same bartender for the 2.3 Euros Pfand fee and she refused to pay, she said because I didn't return the Pfand Chip. I told her that she didn't give me any Pfand Chip as collateral when I paid and she said to me, if I Insist on that, she will call security to kick me out.

I can responsibly say that all of the above is true. The first time I went to Goldene Krone, I really didn't know there was such a thing as Pfand Chip. And the menu doesn't even state that you need to pay a deposit for a glass for orange juice. Of course, you can say with a big smile that I don't have a receipt to prove what I said above. In fact, looking through the comments section, Goldene Krone doesn't care about our "real but negative" comments, because there is a constant flow of people going to Goldene Krone in Darmstadt, so just feel free to complain if you like!

The above situation is due to the unprofessional and negligent behavior of the staff. Since the staff is paid, they should be responsible for their work, since the bar is open for business, it should have professional conduct towards customers, and consumers (like me) should report complaints if they encounter unfair treatment.

Summarized: BEST PLACE IN DARMSTADT, I will only judge the drink and the atmosphere since I didn't eat here. The atmosphere is amazing, basically every night I were there there were random band or similar and we were all vibing and singing together BEATIFUL, on the nights that u feel like special u can also go inside that there's a club, there only 2000/white girl music and THAT IS AMAZING SO GOOD (a bit of gambling on the dj u find but ok), u find all people that vibe there so the environment is amazing. The beer is at a average good level I would say, perfect to get wasted and vibe with...

My reference for Dive Bars. This place has been an institution in Darmstadts party scene for decades. In the top hours it's full, loud, hot and dirty. Just what you want from a dive bar.

The large venue also includes a live music stage and a disco. Even though the crowd tends to be mostly students, you can meet people from all walks of life here.

If you wanna get drunk, try the Mexikaner. And if you're drunk enough, public transport is literally right...
