Enoteca La Trattoria — Restaurant in Duisburg

I was welcomed by a senior waiter soon after I walked in during some busy dinner hour. That released me from the stress of exporting a new restaurant. We ordered the appetizer selection(auswahl), Pasta Vonvole(mussels), and Gnocchi Ripieni for two adults and a 9-yr-old, and we all became very full in the end. The serving is quite generous. Their service is very thoughtful and sincere. As some other customer has commented, “Not fancy, but they provide very good pasta.” I feel that comment also applies to their vibe and their service. Der Weg von Düsseldorf zur enoteca la trattoria ist nie zu weit. Die Pasta- und Fischgerichte sind unglaublich lecker. In die Zabaione könnte ich mich reinlegen. Das Tiramisu schmeckt unglaublich leicht und einfach himmlisch. Auf das Bruschetta, das es vorweg frei Haus gibt, freue ich mich jedes Mal wie ein kleines Kind, weil es so einzigartig gut ist. Einziges Problem ist, dass uns italienisches Essen, selbst bei den besten Adressen, in Düsseldorf nicht mehr schmeckt. Individuelle Wünsche wie zum Beispiel statt Kartoffeln nur Gemüse wie bei dem Tellergericht mit dem gegrilltem Oktopus auf dem Foto sind für Massimo& co. kein Problem. Selbst Gerichte, die nicht auf der Tageskarte stehen, werden auf Nachfrage zubereitet. Der Grappa, den es zur Rechnung frei Haus gibt, ist selbst gebrannt und ein purer Genuss. The atmosphere is quite ok, the food is quite ok, the service is attentive enough but overall I don't get the hype about the restaurant. It's pretty pricey and neither the portions nor the taste are supporting this in my opinion. Maybe it's because Duisburg and the food scene overall are so mediocre that this restaurant manages...
