Sadly, you are a little late to enjoy this place, as they closed on the 29 of December 2024 - but you are right on time to learn about what separates a good restaurant from a great one.

As someone who lives in the area, I walked past this place frequently. Every single time Beata and Robert greeted me with a friendly wave. On those days I worked far too late, had a bad mood, needed some quiet time, or got drenched in hydraulic fluid by my car, they were there for me and made sure I got a hot meal, a great wine, and felt like someone wanted to take care of me.

Needless to say, all the other days I was feeling good and decided to drop by were absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, their service was sincere, and the atmosphere magical. My favorite dish was their 'Wiener Schnitzel', paired with one of Robert's favorite wines.

Bei meinem Besuch im Palin in Düsseldorf genoss ich zwar das köstliche Essen und der Kellner war freundlich, doch ein Zahlungsproblem trübte das Erlebnis erheblich. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass Zahlungen mit Bargeld oder EC-Karte möglich sind, jedoch funktionierte das POS-Terminal nach dem Essen nicht. Der Einsatz eines Supervisors führte zu unnötig feindseligem Verhalten, er erhob seine Stimme und agierte unprofessionell. Dies überschattete die positiven Aspekte des Essens. Aufgrund des mangelhaften Kundenservices rate ich entschieden von einem Besuch im Palin ab.

Wir haben gestern vor einem Opernabend im Parlin mit 6 Personen zu Abend gegessen. Der Tisch war reserviert. Vier von uns wählten als Hauptspeise das Wiener Schnitzel, drei mit Kartoffelsalat, einer mit Pommes frites. Leider wurden die Schnitzelesser sehr enttäuscht: es kamen drei äußerst dünne Fleischscheiben, die zum Ausgleich von derart viel Panade umhüllt ware, dass sie aussahen, als hätte man sie mit einer Ballpumpe aufgepumpt. Mein Teller ging am Ende mit einem Kilo Panade zurück. Auch war das Fleisch recht hart und kaum gewürzt. Der Kartoffelsalat kam in einem Schüsselchen zusammen mit etwas Gurkensalat-hätte man lieber separat servieren sollen-und schmeckte nach nichts. Zum Glück standen Salz und Pfeffer auf dem Tisch …. Mit Preiselbeergelee wurde leider auch gegeizt. Also angesichts des Preises von 35,50€ eine absolute Enttäuschung. Die beiden anderen waren mit ihren Chiligarnelen einigermaßen zufrieden.
