I'd like to note that they could use an extra hour of opening time, because if you work 9 to 6 there's no way to get your cheesecake fix during the week.

The cheesecake is worth it, but I'm docking one star because I prefer a cookie base and for the fact that they're cash only. I was lucky Deutsche Bank is right across the street, but if it weren't the case it would've been an inconvenience.

Also, do Germans not realize NY cheesecake is not the same as Käsekuchen? Similar concepts, different executions - don't get hung up on word-for-word translations, cheesecake ain't your mama's Käsekuchen and it...

This place has a very nice ambience and staff are very friendly and polite. The price is reasonable and they accept cards for the payment. Most importantly, I liked the fact that they use eco friendly packages. They offer variety of cheesecakes with vegan option too. I got latte macchiato which tasted very smooth and really good. Dass in Düsseldorf so ein Laden existiert, ist eigentlich kaum zu glauben. Genauso schwer fällt es mir, meiner Begeisterung Ausdruck zu verleihen. Es fängt damit an, dass dieser Laden optisch genau die Balance zwischen modern-ästhetisch und gemütlich (mit shabby chic Elementen) trifft. Nicht nur gibt es überall etwas zu sehen, es gibt eine klare Design-Sprache, die edel und gehoben daherkommt. Trotzdem will man einfach nicht mehr weg, sobald man einmal sitzt. Von den komfortablen Möbeln bis zum Licht stimmt hier einfach alles und ist sehr liebevoll und bewusst ausgesucht worden.

Dann geht es weiter zum Service, der nicht nur zuvorkommend und effektiv sondern auch authentisch herzlich ist. Man bekommt konstant den Eindruck, dass die Leute hier gerne arbeiten und einem etwas Gutes tun wollen.

Absolutes Highlight ist aber natürlich das angebotene Essen. Ich würde gerne etwas empfehlen, aber ich kann hier nur ein Kompliment geben, welches ich vorher glaube ich noch nie vergeben habe: zeig einfach auf irgend etwas und es schmeckt garantiert unglaublich. Ich meine damit nicht einfach gut sondern wirklich fantastisch. Wir haben inzwischen jede Cheesecake-Sorte probiert, Apple Pie, Carrot Cake und Brownies. Ich kann noch nicht mal sagen, was mir am besten geschmeckt hat. Hier wird offensichtlich an Rezepten gearbeitet bis diese perfekt sind.
