The ASH Düsseldorf — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Reserved online over the OpenTable, dinner for 3. Included option "business dinner" because it was a business dinner.

We were enjoying ourselves with great cocktails (+10€ per cocktail, multiple rounds), had multiple starters, ordered a tomahawk, rib-eye, filet mignon, with multiple sides.

Approx. 2h in, the waiter came to us telling us that our "time is up", as there is a time limit.

1.5h for 2 persons. 2h for 3 persons. 2.5h for 4 persons.

I couldn't believe it, I'm sitting on a business dinner, eating some quality meat (+150€ without sides) and I'm being told the time's up?!

Never, ever has anyone told me in any restaurant that my time's up. Ever!

Than the manager came, tried to de-escalate the situation as well as the business owner.

Please allow me to correct myself, they were not trying to de-escalate the situation, but they were arguing with me in front of the other guests, which is a complete no-go.

They told me it's fine, and we can stay and eat. Of course, I just wanted to pay the bill and get the hell out of the place after I was embarrassed and extremely annoyed and the evening was ruined. The appetite was just gone, as I'm sure you can understand.

Shame, this place was great once. Me and my wife were pretty much regular guest here, but with a new owner this place has gone bad, really bad. Check the other reviews for the reference.

I rather drive extra 60km to ASH Oberhausen where they gladly accept my money and no one is kicking me out while I'm still chewing the meat.

All in all, unfortunately, I can't recommend this place....

The restaurant is not bad, the reception was good and the interior also. But they lack experience in following up on customers' requests, when I visited them there was no one but one table and I was occupying the second table (knowing that there are a large number of tables), and as usual I ordered the salads and then the main dishes (steaks). Meanwhile, the restaurant started to get busy (almost 5 tables were vacant) and everyone who entered after me started eating except me! They only brought me the drinks I ordered! After more than half a time, I asked the waitress where is my order or at least where are my salads that been ordered half an hour ago, and she replied that she would follow up! After 10 minutes she brought the salads and said that the kitchen forgot your order!! While serving the salad, she asked me when she wanted us to start grilling the steaks as they found out that the whole order was not available. After an hour and a half I finished eating and the level of food was not at the required level compared to competing restaurants. Advice, whoever wants to enter this restaurant, he must follow up on his order every 5 minutes because the level of their forgetfulness...

I recently visited The Ash and I must say, it was an exceptional experience fro start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The decor had a modern yet cozy vibe, setting the perfect ambiance for a casual meal.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the burgers! Each bite was a burst of flavor heaven. The patties were juicy and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning. The variety of toppings offered allowed me to customize my burger exactly to my liking. And let's not forget about the fries - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection.

Aside from the mouthwatering food, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Overall, the Ash exceeded my expectations in every way possible. It's no wonder why I'm giving it a solid 5-star rating. Whether you're a burger enthusiast or just looking for a delicious meal, I highly recommend paying them a visit. You won't be...
