I had lunch here on a Saturday. It was a very complicated experience as they close at 4pm on Saturday and I entered the place around 2. They have received many "Falstaff" points. I believe this is mainly due to the selection of wines. After a certain time to understand how the price worked if you want to order the bottle at the table, I had a classic Riedling from Mosel that the young manager offered to open. The bottle was around 60 euros and he asked 30 euros for a glass. As the wine did not become cold, he added a little extra sip. I ordered a bottle of Spatburgunder from Pfalz. It was hard to navigate the availability of the wines because most the big list they have is not into the shop and this means that you cannot drink it unless they call the boss and maybe he is delivering the bottle to the shop. They ended up opening the red wine around 3:30 telling me after that the place was closed at 4pm and that I could take the wine I did not drink away at home. It was generally a complicated experience, also because you can only pay cash and that seems pretty odd in.a place with such high prices, meaning that in 2023 you still need to have hundreds of euros in cash in your pocket if want to feel free to order a "good" wine here, unless you are prepared while you are having lunch or diiner to go out and take money at the close bank. They have a very little selection of gourmet food. But the impression is that this is more a place where the owner puts his "Falstaff' diplomas on the wall then a place where you can have an enjoyable high quality wine experience. For the high price they add to the real price of the things you drink, you expect a different experience. I respect the commercial approach, but that's it. Very hard to recommend, unless this is the only option as you are...

Yes the atmosphere is reasonably nice, and the owner is initially kind.... But: as most people state: Costs: Prices are not indicated and very high The wine: Yes the wine is nice and special, however even compared to the wine one gets in a Michelin-star restaurant overpriced. Food / Canned: All the food is from cans and pots. some might be imported from the mediteranean, but it is still canned food and hence has no preperation. As there is no preperation it shouldn't be that expensive. Wine: I was given a glas of wine for E9,- It had cork in it. The wine was then filtered trough a rough siff and given to me again. It still had too much cork in it. For that amount of money that schouldn't be the case. Food / Tuna: the "marinated" tuna was very dry. Even with some extra olive oil. Food / Burata: yes the Burata (kind of Mozarella) was nice. But please spare yourself the costs and go get it at the local Edeka 500m down the block: We did it and i kid you not: you wont taste the difference. Seating: Too small and too crowded; one is sitting too close to the next table.
CONCLUSION: fairly nice food of good quality, however way overpriced. Go to a Michelin star restaurant and you'll have more, better and higher quality for a...
Read moreVisited Emma 2 on a Friday night. We didn’t really feel welcome at all, maybe because we weren’t German. We did not get to choose our own wine, and they did not come back to check if we liked it or let us taste it before we said yes. My friend did not like her wine, but when we finally got a hold of the owner who was “busy” wiping off glasses the entire night, he did not care. The food was good, but a very small and expensive portion. You don’t get a menu card, they just tell you what they have, so you have no way of knowing the prices beforehand. This is charming, but also not so nice when the prices are this high. I would not recommend going here. the visit was very much ruined because we felt so unwelcome and the staff was rude. It is a lot of money to pay for a mediocre wine you did not...
