Trattoria Da Giulia — Restaurant in Essen

We visited the restaurant with high hopes for a delicious pizza. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in a major way.

The biggest letdown was the complete lack of flavor. The crust, though boasting a good crisp, was utterly bland. It tasted like they forgot the salt entirely, leaving a blank canvas for the toppings.

Speaking of toppings, these were equally disappointing. My pizza, despite being a large size, only offered a measly four shrimp scattered across its surface. Overall, my experience at Trattoria da Giulia was a let down. The crispy crust had no flavor due to a lack of salt, and the toppings were skimpy. I left feeling unsatisfied and wishing I had...

Ich möchte jetzt gar nicht so sehr auf Einrichtung oder Personal eingehen, da beides ansich in Ordnung war.

Antipasti: Worüber wir uns (2 Personen) so geärgert haben, dass wenn man einen (1) Vorspeisenteller bestellt und bei der Bestellung sagt, dass wir uns diesen teilen, dass dann bei der Abrechnung automatisch ein großer Teller berechnet wird. Dieser Teller war KEINE 29,- EUR wert!! (normale Portion 14,50 EUR). 2 Scheiben gekochter Schinken, 2 Scheiben Prosciutto crudo, ein paar Pilze, 3 kleine Scheibchen Carpaccio, 3 kleine Mozzarella-Kugeln, alles NICHT SCHÖN dekoriert auf einem Teller.

Secondo piatto: Jeweils Pasta; so etwas von ungeliebt dekoriert habe ich selten bei einem Italiener gesehen!! Mich hat es stark an das Essen erinnert, welches ich beim Mittagstisch in Italien bei der sogenannten "pausa pranzo" bekomme, wo ein Teller Nudeln 5,- EUR kostet.

Fazit: Vom Essen her selten so SCHLECHT gegessen wie dort; und beim Abrechnen wird man noch wortstark überrumpelt - wir fühlten uns ABGEZOCKT und werden nicht mehr wiederkommen. .....der Espresso war eine lauwarme Pfütze; von der Menge her reichte es grade aus, die Zunge zu benetzen - Diese Trattoria ist NICHT...

Visited for dinner and had a lovely meal. Unfortunately we do not speak German and I felt the owner immediately passed us on because of that.
