Picknick Café Bornheim — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Very, very nice and clever interior. Very good food even that flavour enhancing ingredients have been used.

But:

Music during day time absolutely to loud. THATS not a Cafe but more a stage or a catwalk with background-music for "Service-Queenies"

Employees are neither sufficiently informed about the ingredients nor are they able to provide the guests with the requested information.

--Even though they are obligated by law !!!--

Worse service I've ever "suffered".

And last but not less interesting:

RESERVED tables in a CAFÉ ? ARE U KIDDING ?

Come on, gimme a break !

Where do u think u are ? Beverly Hills, DC, Sunset Blvd ... ?

Why don't you keep your reserved tables and the rest of your f.... American customs for you and ruined bankrupted countries like the US

If I was your boss I would send you and your so called professional service to hell.

Ooohh no. Even worse. I would send u to the US or any other "fake-smile-service-country" u might have copied that stupid idea from.

ALWAYS offer NEVER...

The place looks nice, the ambient of the place wants to give a friendly and cosy vibe. Unfortunately the people who work there don't seem to get that. Our food never came and when we asked for the bill, which included the food, the waitress refused to deduct the food, getting all technical with 15mins within order period bla bla bla. Trust me, as I was with my kids and we ordered cakes as well (and taking pictures with date stamp), it was close to 30 minutes that we haven't received our food. The fact that they NOT ONCE apologised for being late and simply forgot our order but were discussing about timelines and technicalities has put me off ever to set foot there. However, the cakes my kids had were delicious and they enjoyed them very much. My tip: keep reminding them that you have ordered food because they did come twice to ask if all is fine but never noticed that they haven't brought the food out yet. I just never had to remind staff that I I have ordered something. But there's always a first.

Thankfully there are lots of other places with fantastic cakes and better services.

Deutsch: Der Ort sieht nett aus, das Ambiente des Ortes soll eine freundliche und gemütliche Atmosphäre vermitteln. Leider scheinen die Leute, die dort arbeiten, das nicht zu verstehen. Unser Essen kam nie und als wir nach der Rechnung fragten, die das Essen enthielt, weigerte sich die Kellnerin, das Essen abzuziehen, und wurde ganz technisch mit 15 Minuten innerhalb der Bestellannahme bla bla bla. Glaub mir, da ich mit meinen Kindern war und wir auch Kuchen bestellt haben (und Fotos mit Datumsstempel gemacht haben), war es fast 30 Minuten, dass wir unser Essen nicht bekommen haben. Die Tatsache, dass sie (unsere Kellnerin und die Schicht-Leiterin) sich KEIN EINZIGES MAL für die Verspätung entschuldigt haben bzw. einfach unsere Bestellung vergessen haben (was ok wäre, wenn man so was zugibt), sondern über Fristen und Formalitäten diskutiert haben, hat mich davon abgehalten, jemals einen Fuß dorthin zu setzen. Die Kuchen, die meine Kinder gegessen haben, waren jedoch lecker und haben ihnen sehr gut geschmeckt. Mein Tipp: Immer wieder daran erinnern, dass man Essen bestellt hat, denn sie kamen zweimal, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist, haben aber nicht bemerkt, dass sie das Essen noch nicht herausgebracht haben. Ich musste, normalerweise, das Personal noch nie daran erinnern, dass ich etwas bestellt habe. Aber es gibt immer ein erstes Mal.

Zum Glück gibt es viele andere Orte mit fantastischen Torten & Kuchen und...

The place has a very vibrant atmosphere, very much recommended for dates or friends or family meetups. They serve good hot beverages like a variety of coffee and tea. Also serves a lot of variety of cakes which tastes amazing along with sandwiches, falafel, salads. The only disappointment was with the waiters where some of them were unfriendly. And need to wait to get a response for them , when they are busy at least expect a smile and say shortly please or something nice. But they ignore and ignore also while we were requesting for a nicer place to sit when the places were available they are not responding friendly.. other than that a must recommend...
