The best Vietnamese food in all over Frankfurt is served here. The taste is authentic and unmistakably Vietnamese and is not customized to the so-called German taste, which many Vietnamese restaurants (if not most) in Frankfurt have gradually fallen into. We had “bún thịt nướng” (vermicelli with grilled meat) and boy, it was delicious. The meat was charcoal grilled (not oven grilled) and the accompanying nước chấm (a kind of transparent sauce to sprinkle over the vermicelli) is also true to the Vietnamese taste. We also had phở bò (Pho with various kinds of beef cuts) and we can tell that the soup was not seasoned or flavored with MSG and was instead brewed traditionally with marrow bones from cows (the soup is hence called beef stock). I am not exaggerating when I say that on that very day, we tasted home, which we rarely experience in Germany.
Delicious food aside, the restaurant is very spacious and has a small corner dedicated to Vietnamese decoration. The overall atmosphere is warm and cozy. But I hope the restaurant will expand and serve more Vietnamese dishes, there are so much more to Vietnamese cuisine. If you are looking to know more about Vietnam’s cuisine, look no further, it’s right here. I am a Vietnamese, if that helps.
Edit: came here the second time and the quality was not up to standard. So minus 1...
Read moreThe waitress recommended me the “Mini-Woks”, and it is really yummy! (But my friend find it abit too sweet for his liking lol, for me it’s just right). I really like the crispy duck and steak inside, portion is just right for one serving. Also for slow eater like me, the fire below keeps the dishes warm for at-least 30min.
I tried my friend’s laksa, to me it’s too sweet and too salty, the fragrance of coconut milk also not on point. But all 3 of my friend who ordered this dishes likes it a lot, so I guess preferences can be really different.
The rice rolls were not done well, in fact it’s the least tasty rice rolls I ever had, too big for a bite site appetiser, and the flavour is bland, to much rice noodle in it. I definitely do not recommend this dishes unless there is improvement shown by the restaurant. Same applies for the pho bo, improvement needed, it tastes like MSG at the moment.
Butterfly pea lemonade is superb! Looks pretty and tastes amazing!
The crispy chicken chop with tamarind sauce also would WOW you! Recommended!
Their waitress always serve you with a smile 😊 I...
Read moreFood was inedible. Overly sugary/citrusy. Both a friend and I complained of the same and the response from the waiter was, “yea that’s how it is”. I guess we expected better service or for a restaurant to try and rectify in any way so their clients are satisfied. No discount was offered, nor to remake it. In addition, there is no phone signal in the restaurant and the WiFi is available, but as stated by the waiter… “is very bad”. I won’t return and I recommend that others don’t go there. Had the restaurant showed at least some ounce of caring about the customers experience this review would have been improved. The only positive thing I can say about this place is it’s beautifully decorated. We visited Thursday March 2nd at 6 pm and it was a young man that...
