The food is great! I recommend the Schnitzel with Bratkartoffeln (they make exceptionally good Bratkartoffel). They also serve Hacker Pschor which is a very tasty choice of beer. Staff there is very friendly and easy-going. Occasionally, they might offer you a trial of a soup free of charge just to test their new menu ideas. And when you order something that comes with a salad there, you get the most respectable salad you can get as they add many different ingredients that make even those who don't like salads wipe the bowl clean. This is a good neighborhood bar and restaurant worth supporting and keeping around. The only downside are the high prices, but an occasional visit...

A stop in paradise! I had a 3.5 hour stop in Freiburg on that cold, dark and rainy monday evening. I went to this place based on Google advices and i felt so lucky !!! As soon as I entered the place, i could appreciate the warm and cosy atmosphere. Music was very good. The waiter was adorable and so friendly. I felt amazingly well. And when the food arrived, i was like in heaven. I was lucky to find on today's special a roasten goose with delicious gravy and tasty side dishes. It was like a christmas diner in advance. We're English and know very little German but all the staff were very helpful.

What makes a restaurant stand out for me is little surprises. For example as we were waiting for our main courses Chris brought out some shots of soup for us to try, really tasty! The dessert was vanilla ice cream with a red wine froth. Extremely tasty and nothing like I've had before!
