Great restaurant, certainly would recommend it. There are not at all hesitant to give you anything you want. They're friendly and the ambience is great. They also gave us a number of complimentary items like a mango drink at the start and a salad and actually free water unlike virtually every restaurant in Germany.
This all seems to good to be true. So the downside, the food?
The Naan is great but the chili chicken was rather sweet.
All in all it was an amazing expirence and I would certainly recommend that you eat here too!
EDIT
We came here again, and the friendly staff had made a new recipe for the chili chicken taking into account my feedback. Restaurants rarely do this. And that sets them aside from other restaurants. This restaurant is the best in town and I would recommend you come here over the other indian restaurants. Even if you don't like the food just tell them and they will fix it! They're always open to feedback!

Read moreThis place is very vibrant as seen in lots of pictures. It is a small and cosy place. The staffs are very attentive to the guests.
The order was taken very politely as we settled at our table. The aroma around the place was really good. It felt to be in a good Indian restaurant and it is one of the good ones I have been after very long time.
We had Thali, very nice dishes our pallet was filled with good amount of masala and spices.
There is nothing much to be critic in general but here is some minor personal choices i look for in following dishes
Butter chicken was good but the chicken inside was slightly dry for me. Paneer curry again really good and I would like to be paneer to be slightly tossed and crisped. the sweet was nicely presented but it could have some more flavour. Not sure what was missing.
The position size of a thali is good in general but it could be not enough for some. Overall it’s good highly recommend. We saw thali on a weekday is much cheaper and it is a nice option.
We would love to come again and try other dishes and highly...
Read moreExtremely satisfied. Easily the best Indian food I've had in Germany, and frankly, probably some of the best I've had anywhere. Great ambiance outside if there's a spot, with a fountain and small plaza/square nearby, set in a quiet, pleasantly multicultural neighborhood. Very short walk from the train station. Excellent, very friendly service. I really must reiterate: fantastic food. Wonderfully flavored sauces, some of the most tender chicken I've had in a curry, great paneer, incredibly fragrant and well-cooked basmati. Fantastically crisp and tasty papadams, chickpeas were truly perfectly cooked, gulab jamun was better than I realized it could be. I really have nothing even remotely bad to say. The closest thing to a complaint I could make would be that I would have preferred Dal instead of a western salad on my Thali, and that's a purely personal preference, and if I'd asked, they probably would've obliged, even. Truly a highlight in Freiburg, especially if you're fond of Indian. Very, very, very well worth it. Wirklich...
