The best Dosas in Germany are in "Madras" - the best Indian Restaurant In Germany! Kolkata style Biriyani, Vada, Idli, Porota and Chettinadu Chicken Curry are the other must try items in Madras. The specialised chefs from South India (for Dosa, Idli, Vada, Porota, and Chettinadu cuisine), East India (Kolkata Style Dum Biriyani and Fish Dishes) and Northwest India (for Chicken Tikka/Tandoori, Naan, Paneer dishes) have done an amazing job in flavour balancing each of their dishes.
Dosa is the highlight here: the basic Masala Dosa (with potato filling)and the Madras Special Dosa (besides potatoes, cheese onion and other things) are highly recommended. The Sambar and Chutneys served with Dosa, Idli and Vada couldn't be more perfect. Especially, the coconut and tomato chutneys. The Idlis are very soft.
This is the only restaurant I would recommend to order Biriyani in Germany. The Kolkata Style Chicken Biriyani with potatoes is one of a kind and the chef crafts it to the perfection.
The open kitchen concept (very brave move ,I would say, given the complexity and ingredient abundance of Indian cuisine) is implemented very nicely in the cozy restaurant atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food.
Visit Madras to try something other than the standard Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Mango Chicken. Maybe your tastebuds would discover it's purpose! 10/10...

Yes I travelled 1.45 Hours for this restaurant with my friends. We were a group of friends from the southern part of India - Kerala.
We ordered Samoosa, Vada , Chicken Dosa,Ghee Roast , Mysore Masala Dosa, Chicken Kothu Porotta and Mutton Kothu Porotta
The review - The Food was really cool 🤤 and highly recommend Mysore Masala dosa The Sambar was tasty 😋 The Green color chutney was also cool 😎 Overall it's a nice experience if people who want more spicy I can recommend Chicken Dosa with Spiceness at top notch ( One can tell them the spice level 🥵) else go with medium spice
One of the negatives I could say is we had to wait for 1 Hour for our dish which made our stomach made noise 😄 But you know the wait was worth it
So Yeah that's it 😁 Follow me on...
Read moreExcellent, authentic south indian food - dosas, idlis, vadas, the sambhar, the chutneys - I can recommend all of it. I have been here several times and have enjoyed myself thoroughly each time. The regular dosa as well as the rava dosa are delicious. The idli masala fry and the medu vada are both great starters. Since the south indian food is so good, I've rarely ventured into the north Indian sections of the menu, but the couple of times I have, it's also been good.
The restaurant is large and very centrally located, and despite that has very reasonable prices. The staff is really warm and friendly. Can really not find much to complain about. Honestly, one of the best Indian restaurants I have been...
