I'm from Buffalo and in this small, beautiful village and was looking at reviews of most of the downtown restaurants and see a review of this small Irish pub praising the chicken wings. Interest is immediately piqued. Have traveled extensively and will always try wings if reviews seem abnormally high. I am then always disappointed and chalk it up to the game. Headed to The Local Cure this evening to give them a shot and sweet baby Jesus, these are legitimately great. I'd order them in Buffalo and be happy, I'd order them in Maryland where I live now and be ecstatic. For a village in the German Alps? 13 out of 10. Only planned on ordering the Buffalo flavor out of principle and was shocked. Ended up ordering the Garlic Parm as well to see if they had just mastered one flavor and nope, those were excellent too. Highest of recommendation if you are in the area and looking for a...
Read moreI consider myself a chicken wing expert, and I was not expecting such a great buffalo wing in Germany. I was happily surprised.
They make a homemade buffalo sauce, with just enough heat and great flavor. Its not your basic Franks sauce with chili pepper flakes. Their Buffalo wings are better than most USA chain bar wing places. They also have a ginger-lemongrass sauce that was unique, and tasty.
Sarah was my bartender, and was very pleasant. The place has an authentic Irish Bar feel, and they serve Kilkenny Red.... my favorite beer in the world. I'll be...
Read more(English below) Regeln ganz egal?! Also was war denn da gelaufen? Meinerseits also: ein "Big Bad", wirklich!
Rules don't matter?! The presumably up-to-date Facebook page lists opening hours Tuesday until 11pm. I arrived exactly at 21:37, i.e. an hour and 23 minutes earlier. The door was locked. Soon it was four of us standing there, together with an older couple and a Japanese man. When all tried the door a guy came around on the inside and showed a cross sign through the window. With no explanation, simply "it's closed, guys, bye"! A few seconds later a girl ran through, somewhat untidy. Well when, what had been going on here? Sincerely, I could expect something like this in a developing country, but in Bavaria?! Where is the basic respect for customers?? (I leave aside that I was standing there with my crutches, after I had hobbled quite a distance, only to be totally disappointed.) From my side, then: a Big...
