Favorite Indian restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen! The menu is extensive, with dishes explained in detail. They have a wonderful selection for vegetarians. Favorites are all of the Thalis, Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Biryani and Pashwari Naan. The family who runs it is very helpful and polite. Service is very good here and it is possible to have a quick meal here. The lunch menu is excellent for 6-9 € you can order a dish that comes with naan and a salad or soup. The salads are fresh and are a nice side accompaniment. All of the soups I have tried have been great. They have lamb, beef and chicken dishes. There are various dishes that are for two or more people, great sharing options! Many of the menu items come with various dishes for tasting, there is one dish with all of the tandoori meat options and it’s great to try them all! They also have an appetizer sampler platter that is fun to share with a group. The mango lassis are very good. Desserts are also good. The highlight of this place is that they deliver for a 10 € minimum to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and a 20 € minimum to Grainau. Read the reviews and decided to put the place to the test. Ordered Duck Vindaloo, Chili Garlic Naan. Requested extra spicy. I can see why some reviews call the dishes too sweet or too spicy, it is due the sauce base; however, paired with rice and chili Naan the spice level was good and the portion was typical for Germany. One item that I question is the potatoes in the vindaloo. Seems like they should charge another Euro and use a greater variety of spices and add a little more meat. The spice and heat balance does take an artistic approach but to their credit. They are attempting to appeal to the locals who think black pepper and garlic are too hot and most simply may not appreciate cardamom and other rich spices that help balance flavor and heat. Recently visited the restaurant and I was highly disappointed with both the food quality and the hospitality. The staff was extremely rude especially with Indians. We ordered Vegetable thali and bollywood thali and wanted to just confirm the dishes that come in the thali and the staff said "dint you read the menu card". Also we were never asked if the food was okay unlike the German guests there. Also when we ordered the Naan the waiter kept it on our table in a very unpleasant manner. While paying the money we said we would like to pay with card and the waiter said " Pay with whatever" in an extremely rude tone. Never seen such terrible hospitality and very bad food. Would not recommend anyone to go there ever. Literally wasted 72 euros at this...
