Place is nice enough to sit outside of on a nice day. Pizza was OK. Beer was skunky though.
Biggest issue was when I went to pay, someone who didn't take my order or bring my food showed up with pen and paper and asked me what I wanted, at least that is what I thought he asked. My German is not good and I did the best I could to explain that I already ate and just wanted to pay (which I guess is what he was asking the whole time). I assume it was the owner and I don't know why he had to ask me what I had instead of the people who work there who took my order and brought the food?
Anyhow, after I did the best I could to explain what I ate and paid he went to the next table and said something about me that caused everyone at the table to look my direction including the kids who were staring and laughing.
I won't go back and I don't...
Read moreWe went back to this restaurant because of the great food. The girls working at the restaurant are super nice, but the owner of the restaurant doesn’t know any boundaries. Last year he grabbed my friend by her shoulder constantly and later, when we wanted to pay, the pin didn’t work and he asked me to step into his car to drive to the pin in Grainau. I did not do this ofcourse. We went back this year for a second chance because the pizza’s are great… but when we wanted to pay, the owner got in to my personal space and sat right against my side, I moved a few inches to not be touched. We also saw him push someone on the shoulder. I don’t think we will go back to this place ever again just because of how this man acts. It’s really not okay to act this way against woman who visit...
Read moreWe were pleasantly surprised to see them open for lunch as most restaurants in Grainau are closed at noon. We ordered off the daily specials, I ordered the eggplant zucchini parmigiana(sauce was yummy) and my husband spaghetti aglio e olio. Both dishes were fresh and perfect! The tiramisu was beyond delicious. You know how tiramisu usually taste the same wherever you go, well this does not. We ended our meals with Sambucca. Total was just under €75 for 1 glass of wine, 2 Augustiner beers (the best Helles around), 2 entrees with bread basket, 2 desserts, 2 cappuccinos and 2 Sambuccas. We will try their pizzas next visit. Highly recommend this...
